RaceMax Wheel Spacers problem?

Hi,

I just got my order of the RaceMax 12mm Wheel Spacers delivered. Went out to the car removed a wheel and the new spacer does not fit all the way on flush to the oem hub and the size of the hubs bore on the car seems to get bigger? so I cannot get the spacer flush to it??? Does this make sense?

WTH! do i need to pound it on there haha. Sure did not have to do this with the H&R ones i had on previously? They fit right on.

Any idea? wrong bore size on the spacer? Anyone else have these spacers on their car?

thanks

Jason

Check the depth of the hole in the spacer or for rust/gunk/burrs on the hub.

so as far as the depth of the hole in the spacer appears to be deep enough. I can only get it on the car about half way and is real tight to the point i do not want to force it on and get it stuck on there. There is no rust on the cars hub that is causing this from what i can tell/feel.

ugh, i have the worst luck when buying stuff for this car.

If the spacer has an extended sleeve around the center hole like the 12mm thick ones I saw online, maybe the hole is too small (tapered). Might need to have it opened up to (56.1mm) at a machine shop.

very common. a stock et48 is way under the fenders, while a et35-38 looks perfect, and more flush. easy solution.

also coilover/brake clearance sometimes

..yep, I just recently put those same Racemax 12mm spacers on with some s lites that I got & refinished..to have as an extra set of wheels. (my "winter" wheels...lol, we actually got almost 1" of snow a couple wks ago in S. TX)

..and yep, just wanted to get them flush.

..and btw, I had similiar issue as the OP with getting them on, even after making sure my hub was clean of any rust/burrs, I had to take some sand paper and slightly go in the bore of the spacers to get them to fit, ..no biggee..

Didn't realize the 2nd gen had a smaller offset than my 1st gen.

What offset do you run on your Gen 1?
