Tire Suggestions?

I have been browsing through the wheel and tire forum for several days, however, I have had difficulty finding tire suggestions. Most already have something in mind when they ask about them.

I have a 2003 MCS riding at stock height, on 17" S-lites with Pirelli Euphori@s. Unfortunately I need to hold on to my wheels for now, but I am in dire need of new tires. Does anybody have any suggestions?

-I want standard tires, no runflats, I cannot stand them. They are way too expensive to have to constantly replace.

-I rather like the stiff ride from the Runflats that I have now

-Like most, I enjoy the spirited drive, however, I am constantly driving in the spirited mode.

-I am a semi-poor student at the moment, so I would probably need all-seasons, I just can't pull the winter tires/wheels at the very moment, plus around here I see frequent downpours.

-I need to keep the tires below about $200.00 each

I know that I can go to tirerack and view the compatible tires, however, whenever reading the reviews, people hate them or love them. Plus, I don't see many MINI owners chiming in on the reviews...

So, What would fellow MINI owners suggest?
Thanks!

-Chase

Run the bridgestone all seasons on tirerack.com. They are only about $100.00 a piece and they are 40k mile tires. Less road noise, great performance, less money and smoother ride.

I need to replace my tires as well, at 32k I put on the following: BFGoodrich g-Force Sport
I am now at about 78k so 46k out of a high performance tire, I consider that to be good. Price was about $125 per tire. Handling and road noise is good. I put on 215/45/17's to minimize curb rash, and have been really happy with them, however it was a chore to find a tire specialist that would put anything other than manufacture specified size on the rim.
I'm thinking of trying out BFGoodrich g-Force Super Sport A/S for my next set, its got a higher tread life rating.

You can also look at the Toyo Proxes 4 which are very nice all season tires that handle spirited driving. I would also take a look at the Falken 912's. They are very quiet, but not as grippy as the Proxes 4. The Falken will last a bit longer. Let me know if you have any other questions.

I'm a HUGE fan of the Goodyear Eagle F1 All Seasons. Absolutely love them. Long treadwear rating, great dry and wet performance, and grip almost like a sticky summer tire. 215/45ZR17 looks great and aggressive on your stock rims.

Not cheap.... but awesome IMHO.

I'd recommend Yokohama S.Drives...quiet, grip nicely, and cost is right. Also, I think they'll last a long time.

You can't go wrong with the BFG G-Force Sports...grippier than the Yoks, but won't last as long, and they were louder.

Thank you everybody for the suggestions! I've ordered a set of Goodyear Eagle F1's... Basically, I had to go for what I could get my hands on the fastest, plus I did like what I was seeing with the Goodyears. Again, thank you everybody!
