Looking great Ca$per! They really give the car a "baller" look with the polished lip.

Glad I could help you out.

Alot of fabulous cars in this thread!!

I have an R56 as you can see. I have H&R springs that have dropped me about 1.5 inches. I am thinking of going up a size in tires.

From.. 205 45 17
to.. 215 45 17 Goodyear Eagle F1

I will use my 7 inch wide wheels.

Good idea or bad??

well....wrong post...but that doesnt really matter i guess.

What are you hoping to achieve by going with the slightly wider tire? what is your goal?

It might work....really depends on personal opinion in this case. I'm not a big fan of the larger sidewall that you would get from going up a size....but that's just me.

Thanks for your opinion, It helps my state of indecision.

I have many options to consider. I will check other threads for more info...

I love this thread. I was wondering if anyone has done a low offset with a stretch tire on an R56 MCS. I have and R56 and was considering a set of 16 or 17 inch Work Meister's. I would like to wider in the rear maybe a 16x8 in the front and 16x9 in the rear with stretched tires and some poke. The R56 looks a little bigger than the R53 so I may decide to go with 17's. Any suggestions you guys have will be great. Or pics of a similar setup on an R56 will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Lovin the offset on those wheels! A unique look that we don't see enough of in the Mini Community.

If you upload photos to the gallery on NAM (or anywhere else on the internet) you can post them in any thread if you open the individual picture...right click and select "copy image address" and then insert it between

You gotta get springs or something though....that's like 4 inches of wheel gap. It would look a lot better and make the wheels look like they fit better

Werd, plus some camber to bring the tread under the fenders...

Ahh nice, I don't deal with winter down here so I forget...

Question about the Megan's, do you get any rubbing (with suspension components) with any of the stock wheels?

That looks sick. Gonna look up the offsets, seems like its in the high 30s though..

I didn't know you were running 8.5 wide. That's crazy, funny to think that I've asked if it's possible and everyone just says no or highly unlikely. I'm interested in the amount of clearance you have in the rear with the suspension components. Also, what offset are the wheels?

Looks beautiful Bean Great taste in wheels! I have the HRE C-20's, and they arent as heavy as you might think. Mine are 18x8's and i plan to go to 225's in the spring if all goes well and once these wear out

I can get you into a set of these, if you decide to go that route let me know. I can probably arrange for the wheels to be painted as well so that they're good to go once you get them.

This thread is going places once again, please, try to keep the posts with the format listed in the OP. This way the thread remains as informative as possible, as was originally intended...
