I needed a all-around good weather/rain tire and from all the reviews they say these are a good all around performer, wet or dry.
I have ES100's and rain performance is actually quite good. From what I've read, the Parada's are more a "tuner" tire and have a bit better ride and less grip than the ES 100's.

I've had both of these tires and I would agree. ES100 had a performance edge. Paradas looked very cool; they had a very distinctive tread pattern that would actually change slightly as the tires wore down. But the Paradas were loud!

and I thought the Paradas did better on the track than the ES 100s...I have had both. A good friend of mine runs ES 100s on his A4 during the summer and at the track, good in the rain. He did switch to the Kumho SPT last fall, got about 1 month of use before his winters went on, and he is much happier with the SPT over the ES 100.

I ended up going with a light weight option, as I still have my s-heavies if I am interested in that style.
They are a very shiny satin silver without the reflection like chrome has.

thanks for the pic. They don't look anywhere near as bad as I thought. I guess having a flash go off really changes the image. I like the fact that they have that old school look, and from the pic, somewhat of an old school finish. For sure something to consider if I need a third set of wheels, haha.

Thanks, I hope they grow on me because they don't really tie in with anything on the car. Maybe we need a set with polished alloy or chrome highlights?

Do I see a black scoop? My scoop and boot handle are being painted black right now! Can I see a pic of the scoop? But make sure those wheels are in the pic, cause it is a wheel thread and those wheels look hot!

Custom lug wrench:

Welded an old boxend wrench to the socket.

I only posted this because some wheels require new lug nuts. It's a pain messing with a separate wrench and socket.

Sure...

crappy lighting...

It's an m7 ram air scoop that is painted gloss black. It's so glossed that's it is really hard to get pictures of.

That's Nice!! I wasn't sure if it was going to look good, now I know. I am also having the black optional grill surrounds painted gloss black and leaving the mesh part of the grill flat black.

Not fitted on the car yet, still want to do my IE adjustable control arms and IE adjustable camber plates and go and get an alignment first, then put the new shoes on...but they just got delivered, and I am very impressed with how light they feel.

Hmmm.... that set-up sounds familiar. Except mine are white and I'm running 215/40's....

+1
Its even worse when you have a key & socket, and.... a torque wrench with extension

Those look awesome. I am doing my center caps...leaving them silver to match the rims, it is actually pretty close, but getting custom center cap stickers from Mike at AC...indi blue with silver MINI lettering. It will not only match the car, but match the rims...the blue on the rims is pretty close to the blue on the car, just a tad lighter.

Got any close ups of your center caps? there is an old archived thread from 2005-2006 showing people who repainted their caps...looks like you have some custom center stickers as well, classic mini stickers?

This is the best I have right now. All's I did was lightly sand them, paint them gloss black and clearcoat them in flat clear. The "S" is hand painted in my feeble attempt to mimick the "S" next to the side blinker lights. Outside of rim hadn't been repainted yet but the inside has, much whiter and a good match to the roof.....

My graphics guy is making some center cap stickers for my Pro Race 1's. I'll post pics when I get them.
