Hi Msteadman thanks for your comments, my car is actually Astro Black and not Jet Black which I wanted but was discontinued shortly before I ordered my car... The wheels are LENSO S73 18" think they go really well with the all black colour scheme im aiming for. next on my list of things I'm wanting is a set of all black door handles and either some all black headlamps or all black or carbon headlamp rings. Just not sure if I'm going to find anyone here in the UK that could supply anything like these...

Interesting - AB really can look black depending on the angle. No offense, but I always found it to be a blue color with a misleading name.

The wheels definitely fit in great with your overall theme. I want to start blacking my MINI out soon as well. The only chrome I plan to keep is the door handles and maybe the belt line.

 

MuDoTu- car looks great. those RPF1's are definitely a nice
look. i have knock-offs on my other car with graphite spokes, but i might
do the real 16's on my MCS...i kinda miss having 16" on my MCS; and the
16's are only 2lbs heavier than the Comps i use to have.

 

Went ahead a couple of months ago and sprayed my stock S wheels black with some wheel paint.
Came out pretty well, but i think i need to give it a clear coat finish to protect it from chips and cracks.

Very nice, and yes I agree putting a couple of coats of laquer on your wheels would be a great idea.

Just installed these on my 05. I got a great deal from Edge and I love the look of the 18s and I cant believe the ride is better than my runflats.

hmmm...black out the door handles, gas cap, and swap the chrome 'S' sidelights for the black Cooper ones and lower it and I think it's a hot car. I'd guess you're planning something similar since you've done the headlights rings and beltline.

how are you liking the car now that you've had it a bit?

 

i unno... i think do red the rest of the chrome might look pretty hot
