Nice car and GREAT wheels! ...but MINI really needs to start painting the wheel arches along with the "factory areo kit."

retorque those lugs after 5-10miles lf driving. sometimes they loosen up a bit when the wheels sets onto the rotor/hub. 80-90lbs/ft will do the trick.

Not to worry. At least one vendor - Texas Speedworks - has a stud conversion kit that converts the new14mm size down to the old 12mm size, so that existing wheels and brake kits can be used on the newer cars. And not all aftermarket wheels are affected by the new bolt size.

But yeah, they did make the wheel bolts bigger, and it can cause aftermarket wheel fitment issues.

Thanks...will look into Texas Speedworks...they are alittle hard to find on the net......will try to do some research...guess there is no easy solution to find out what wheels work and which ones don't......that is good news though......cheers T

Has anyone seen (or have pics of) white R98's? I know this would be a custom thing, but I haven't found anything through 'search'......I've been thinking of having mine done.

Thanks UKcooper.....big help...found the perfect wheel.....but my wheel guy replied with this....
holes in the wheels are 13mm to make them work we would need to machine the wheel holes to 15mm, the other problem is that the end of the lug bolt were the socket goes might be to big
Does the link you sent negate this problem........thanks for all the help

Link brings "new" hubs to "old" dimensions - yes, helps.

For his next set of wheels, I think Konky is going to forego "tires" entirely, opting instead for a thinly-applied layer of rubber cement...

Lookin' great, Mister Konky - as usual.
(I still liked the Porsche phonedials...)
