I am really happy to see these available in the USA. I have been wanting them for a long time. 20lb for a 17" is really not that bad. Its not super light but its not really heavy either. Personally I would go fot the 17 inch wheels. The mini in 18" wheels looks funny IMHO.

+1. 18's on a MINI are too big. 17'' is even pushing it. The set on the pic above looks good though- they are the 17's right?

I think 18's look great on a MINI. They help fill the wheel well if that is what you are going for.

My question is why would you want to exactly copy another design? The GP wheels are just that, GP wheels.

Well you can do what you want...but the GP is...a GP, like Polizei said. You can't really emulate it- but no prob if you just want those wheels!

those wheels look really cool. you could probably get some fake mini stickers to put over those worx logos too. how much are the original wheels (if they're even available)?

If you are looking to copy the GP then might as well go for the size GP's come in stock.......... 18".

All wheel tire combinations are roughly the same diameter - 18s don't fill the wheel wells anymore than 15s, do they?

The wheels come standard on the GP, thus you are copying the GP if you put them on...since they are the GP's wheels.

Anyone can do it...just not my cup of tea.

Those pictures look like 18's to me. There is a lot less sidewall to those tires than my 17's. Personally I think those wheels are pretty sweet, and would look good in 17's if you don't have the JCW brakes or some other BBK. I think the 18's tend to look a little funny with the stock brakes, and no matter which size I would say that you need to get your calipers painted. Those wheels are going to show off your brakes, and a little paint on the calipers will look a lot better.

Yeah, but I still believe they're 17s. The ads I've seen selling these wheels state that they are 17", and just the wheel by itself appears to be 17". I think they look larger at first glance in those pics because they put 40 series tires on them instead of 45s. You'll notice the rather large wheel gap.

The Mini GP wheels in 18" weigh 19.3 lbs. Also who cares they came on a GP if you like them buy them, each owner mods how they want. Its what make each of of individuals. just my 2 cents. Also the 17s will give you a better ride, the 18s are pretty firm.

I agree that 18s look a little off on a MINI to me, and also, the ride on 17s is bad enough!!

I love the GP wheels, especially on a silver MINI. If I had a silver or black MINI I'd be all over a set, but I've got myself convinced they'd look goofy on PW.

Low profile non-run flats, and the wheels look nice. I agree needs the BBK, and lower suspension.
