IE camber plates

Does anyone know if the Ireland Engineering fixed camber plates change the ride height of the car. Or, with stock suspension does it retain stock height.

Thanks,
Brian

It will retain stock height. It may take a day or two for the front suspension to settle but when it does you will be back to stock. Ireland uses a bearing from BMW that sits in urethane/rubber and the ride and noise should be close to stock.

Yea...similar to stock mounts, but beefed up. They are stronger than stock, they have slightly more rubber and thicker metal. The car will be almost half an inch higher when you first install them, but they will settle. It will definately not make the ride any rougher.

Exactly my experience. In fact, the ride is bit more compliant with the IE fixed plates vs. stock.

Please note that if you install some of the well know adjustables, like the Helix, you will be raising the front end approx 1/4-3/8. Any of the solid ball mounts will transmitt more NVH than the ones mounted in urethane/rubber.

I'm thinking very hard about buying the IE adjustable camber plates. Nice to know the ride hight will remain stock & the ride is good. Sounds like a win-win situation.

Edit.... I have an R53, stumbled on the R56 forum by mistake. I'd guess the same goes for the R53 plates too.
