Front suspension clunking/creaking noise

I have a 2018 mini cooper s that I just had NM lowering springs installed on. Within 1-2 days I begin to hear a clunking/creaking noise from the front end of the vehicle. When stationary the front end will clunk/creak when turning the wheel full rotation in either way. While driving the car there will be a clunk/creak here and there and also when taking turns. Crevier mini in Santa ana would not help due to the lowering springs but I am taking it back to the shop who installed the springs to have them look at it. Do either of you have any suggestions on what it could be. I do have a video if that would make it any easier

There are several other members on the forum who experienced the clunking/creaking noises after installing nm lowering springs.

First, ask the installer to check if the top hats are properly torqued. To do this properly, a pass-through ratchet or a BMW specialty tool is needed.

I had nm springs that made the same noises you are experiencing. Once I replaced them with JCW coilovers, the noises were completely gone.

Thanks I am going to get it inspected something this week. The guys at the dealer thought maybe shorter end links up front would solve my issues but idk, if I can't get it sorted coil overs was my obvious next move :D

Check your tophats.
Have someone turn the steering wheel while you source the tophat noise.

The NM springs have this protectant wrap on like the top two coils. That had shifted down and was causing the noise. Moved that back up and it has gotten better. Still get the occasional creak going over bumps. For some odd reason I notice the noise more now in the hot temperature of socal. Maybe the material is expanding with the heat ad causing the noise?

The struts need to be disassembled in order to move the wrap up, so it gets wedged under the top hat. That will keep it from working its way down.
