Kw v3

I ordered an F56 JCW 2 weeks ago and wanted the to mod the suspension with AC Schnitzer lowering springs or KW V3s. Have any of you installed the KW VW3 with EDC setup?

No experience with either but lowering springs vs pretty much top of the line $2500 coilovers are at completely different ends of the spectrum. quite the price and performance gap between the two. Can't even be compared to each other.

Strange to be cross shopping those two parts.

I cannot comment on the KW VW3 but the Bilsteins PSS10's are absolutely fantastic! Plus Way currently has a sale on them so they are cheaper than the KW normally they are about the same price.

I would also recommend changing out your rear sway bar and end links at the same time.

Thanks for the info, I have a little bit of a wait so I'll stick with the KWs but I think I will try the trailing arms and sway bar.

We've done several coilover installs on F56. Today we actually did a set of KW V2 and they are freaking awesome. The ride is still great, but the car feels more like a MINI again and planted to the ground.
I highly recommend them and V2 is fine, V3 is only needed if your building a full blown track car and need the additional adjustment.

The customer is picking it up on Thurs and hopefully he will post up about it then.

Is the clearance to the wheels on the KW V2 at least as big as the stock struts? I've got 17x8 wheels, which sit quite close to the struts.

This is my JCW and "freaking awesome" doesn't begin to cover it! Way is correct on the ride quality, the V2 seems to smooth out the usual road bumps. The handling is so phenomenal that it makes you forget Atlanta traffic (well, almost anyway). I'm running Comp 2 A/S on NM RSe05 wheels. Turn in is immediate and controlled with no real feel of roll. All you have to do is just think about where you want to go and you're there. My wife commented how comfortable the car felt when we went around a tight turn, so it's a win all around.

Thanks again Way!!

Never a fan of lowering springs.
Mine has been running KW V3 for 8000km. Really nice coilover kit for roads but you have to find a good setting (bumps, rebound, compression etc.) suitable for you. I tried numerous combinations of height, bumps and rebound. Its very tricky to get it right, but KW did deliver what most people want/like.

I am going to get my Nitron kit fitted next week, because V3 doesnt allow you to get any camber.

Thread necromancer here:

Does anyone know where the rebound adjust **** is on the k3? Hoping you don't need to unmount the system to adjust.
