Alta Sport Suspension Pack R56?
Hello all,
I am in the mist of buying this package and I am wondering if it is worth it. It is $525.00 plus shipping. And it comes with a 22mm rear sway bar, H&R springs, and endlinks. I'm just wondering if I am going to make the right choice PLUS I mean I am getting a five year warranty with it. I was going to go the route of WMW which has their suspension package for $690.00 basically. Just wondering which route is the best route for my R56 in the short and long term. I do plan to keep her til she has about 100K. Thanks!
Here are both websites about the packages.

Like they said the end links are not needed unless you are corner weighting the car. Plus with the alta kit you'll still need to get rear lower control arms to get your rear camber and toe correct.
We don't use the alta bars because we've had so many squeak. and their endlinks are noisey.

Plus that "5 year guaranty" is worthless as it does not cover noise. They will not do anything for you when it starts clunking. However, they will tell you to buy their V3 or V4 or V5 etc... at a reduced price, plus you have to pay shipping. Just ask Veggivet.
I am happy with the TSW springs on my car. It rides better than the stock 'sport' suspension and looks like the car should have from the start. It does not look lowered. I highly reccomend the bump stops from WMW as well, I was riding on the stock bump stops and this made the ride quite jarring.

I'm looking at the Way package as well for my non-s. I wan't stiff handling with low body roll, but do not want a car that will easily snap oversteer as my girlfriend drives the car as well. Ideally i'd like the competition sway bar, but will this make the car dangerous for her? Additionally, is the competition swaybar noisier? Thanks!

Well unless she drives insanely on corners than maybe a little hazard but honestly I know people that have it and have no issues at all with the competition bar.
I have the 'competition' 25 mm hollow bar, and have not had any oversteer issues. Right now I have it setup at the softest setting, and have no intention to stiffen it.
It should not be noisier than a 'normal' bar.
Have fun,

Yeah, my wife has no suprises or issues when she drives, and I haven't tried to explain the mods to her. I just get the 'so you're done now' look........... That and she says its too fast (she does 80 without trying)..........
Sounds like I have done pretty well..........

Also - as far as the Way package is concerned, I see that it comes with adjustable rear control arms but what about the front? Will the drop from the springs create too much negative camber? Do I need adjustable front camber plates, or does the drop bring camber right to the -1.2ish that is ideal?
No need to worry about too much camber in the front from this change, the slight increase is welcome. It will through the toe out of alignment, though. This is easily corrected with an alignment.

I would expect that an experienced installer (pro or owner) would be done with the install in 3-5 hours, plus some time to do an alignment. As a novice, you would comfortably be done in one day, and could do the job without a helper.
