guys, here is an MSD coil for the mini...its the same one you guys are taling about. maybe a group buy here would be cheaper since we are on the forum.. anyway here is the link http://www.jscspeed.com/mini/mini_base.html
I'm out too, I bought a Screamin' Demon from Randy Webb. I love this coil, it really does improve startup and warmup. It doesn't hurt anything when you're thrashing the engine either.
you guys still waiting to get the coil thing going... i got mine that i ordered off ebay yesterday...anyway let me know how it gos....
just messing with you guys.
anything out of the ordinary needed for installing the MSD? i know u have to drill the holes thats about it?
do u ahve to disconnect batteries etc? need any electrical lube like with wires? i know a thousands questionzbut im needing to knwo this.thanks
Is not drilling the holes. They come with a metal sleve in the holes that are 2 tight for the OEM bolts. Remove those sleves and insert stock bolts. Or just replace the stock bolts with M6 bolts the same length.
Be careful when removing stock coil not to loose any of the rubber grommets.
Dont forget the sequence of the plugs, they fire in sequence.
Always disconect battery when doing mods. Just to be safe.
Piece of cake, just switch one wire at a time. Don't be suprised if your screws have snotty green verdigris on them from the brass female threads on the car.
