Vacuum pump replacement - R56

Hi all. Thank you in advance.

I have a Mini R56 ( 2009 ) N52 engine. I'll be replacing the vacuum pump which is heavily leaking oil, so i'm on the market for one.
According to Bentley's service manual there are two different vacuum pump models that, from the outside, look exactly the same. One is targeted to minis with ASC-T control and the other one to minis with the optional DSC.
My question, how can I be sure if my car has DSC - which I believe it does - vs ASC-T?

Any help regarding this, will be much appreciated.

Go up to the top bar and under "Tools" is a VIN decoder. It should help you.
I have a 2007 R56 and it has the N14 Engine with a turbo. There is a N12 engine without a turbo. I have not heard of an N52 engine.

Go onto RealOem website and select your car model, then browse down to the vacuum pump, you'll get to exactly which part number you'll need.

But yeah, N52 is for the E90 328i or some of the Z4 BMW's (maybe even on some SUV models), definitely not a Mini

Thanks for the input.

N12 I know haha... I had been reading tech stuff all day and I supposed my mind slipped.... Now I have a user name to remind me.

I ended up ordering a Pierburg Vacuum pump part no. 7.01490.09.0 which I hope to be the correct one.

Thanks again... N12, I know.

Well, the one I'm replacing is Pierburg. I bought the car new at BMW/Mini dealership and It hasn´t been replaced before - not by me nor with my knowledge; so ... I really can't tell.

Don’t skimp on the vacuum pump. A bad vacuum pump caused my engine to fail and bend 4 valves. Pierburg is the one you want.
