R56 Headlight adjustment

Happy Thanksgiving!

I get that the drivers headlight is aimed slightly lower intentionally but IMO both of the headlights are aimed too low. Living in "deer country" I'd like to be able to see a little further during these long winter nights. Even the high beams look too low to me.

Standard halogen headlights on a 2013 Justa... Can someone tell me how to raise them a skosh?

Thanks Dave, I did see that thread but thought it was geared toward the xenon headlights instead of the plain Jane halogens. I'll take a look and see if they adjust in a similar manner.

We go over adjustment in our headlight replacement DIY.

To adjust the headlight beam aim, open the engine hood and look for the small plastic Phillips head adjusters (green arrows) at the back corners of the headlights. When adjusting headlight aim, be sure to have the tires at the correct pressure, the fuel tank full and the weight of one person in the driver's seat. You can also align the headlight with the opening in the hood. Loosen the 10mm mounting fasteners, and then adjust them using the screw-in or out adjusters (red arrows). When adjusting the headlight to hood alignment, tape the headlight to prevent scratches.

PERFECT! That's exactly what I needed - thanks!

For others who may be reading, the upper white plastic adjuster may be under a small black cover (mine was). Takes some digging to get it out.

One thing is the main mount, mounts the headlight to align the hood and gap with the four eccentrics, the adjustment for the housing beam up and down, side to side.

You would have to gorilla glue it or replace the whole headlight housing.

Thank you, this is great.

Are there only 2 plastic screws? I just noticed, while driving in fog, that my drivers side light is point up and to the right. I have not gone under the hood yet, figured I would try to find out how to re-aim before I make an attempt.
thank you

R56 Bi-Xenon headlight adjustment

I spent at least an hour googling and looking for the location of the headlight adjustment screws on my 2009 Cooper S. This thread was one of the most useful I found, but still did not give me the exact location of those adjustment screws. I finally found a photograph showing where the adjustment screws are. Here it is
