I have a Cooper S convertible 2009. Unfortunately the rag top does not muffle road noise. I was trying to figure out how to listen to the radio in the car via some ear plugs. I know that I can listen to say an iPod with ear plugs or an iPhone with ear plugs...but what about just the radio in the car? Is there a cable combination that uses the USB port where I could listen to the radio or CD player via ear plugs?

 

im not sure but i can tell you that driving with ear phones on is against the law... so check your state laws first my friend just an fyi

 

The only other solution I've thought of is somehow putting speakers in the headrests but I haven't found anyone that does that or sells that.

 

i would just install an amp and new speakers so the radio is louder and more crisp

 

+1. Get an amp and better speakers. Driving around with earbuds will get you a ticket.

 

Suggestions as to where to get the amp and better speakers? Do I have to get them from the MINI dealership?

 

Spend some time in the nav and audio forum here... much knowledge to be had there.

And ditto - driving with earplugs is NOT a good idea.

 

im putting new speakers in this mounth and im buying them from a getto car audio store..... Funny but the getto places are the best places to get that stuff from.. they know there tunes...

 

and you could go any where to get them
