I'm all wet... It's raining inside my '03 MCS

HELP!!!! During a really fierce storm I sprung a leak - water coming in on driver's side soaking into the headliner & dripping into footwell from underside of dash nearest door. Now it is apparently getting worse - got in after another rain (live in Florida -its been raining a lot) and now my seatbelt was wet also and headliner wetness has moved further toward rear of the car. This isn't just a few drops of moisture... my car is becoming a swamp

Please help!!

Thanks,

Wendy

Because you have a sunroof and the drains are plugged.

I believe they are in the front corners and you can use a piece of wire or an air hose to unplug them.
Any shop could do this for you if your not comfortable doing this yourself

Hope this helps...

Whoa now! Don't go sticky something through it because if it came loose you will put that hanger through your headliner and have 2 problems. Or it could go through your airbag. Remove necessary parts to bend down that corner of the headliner and see if the drain is hooked up.

Thanks to both of you - the drain hose had come unplugged at the connection between the sunroof & the pillar. A quick 15 minute fix (not counting the trip to get the right tools) and hopefully the rain stays on the outside. Now... to get shampooed, dried up and clean again!!

Thank you!!!!

Also I would suggest putting a zip tie on to prevent it from happening again and also do the same to the passenger side.

But how do you do it?

Ok, so I think my drain hose(s) has come disconnected. Where is the connection, exactly? Can I get to it without pulling the entire headliner off? Does anyone have a photo of the drain routing? And can anyone tell me where the drain exits the car?

My guess is also the drains on your sun roof. This happened to me a few months ago. Lucky for my I was under warranty and got a loaner car from the dealer while they pulled up the carpet to get everything all nice and dry. I was told that the drains are not fitted in the car well, just kinda pushed together. My dealer said that when they repair this issue they use an glue of sorts to seal the drain pieces together which can prevent this from happening in the future.
