Tire Pressure Monitor - Help!?

anyone know how to disengage this on my 2008 S? I replaced tire/wheels with a set that don't have the sensors - dealer doesn't know how to reset/turn this feature off - any suggestions?

Sorry it cannot be done(as of yet).A piece of black electrical tape will cover the speedo light nicely. The tach light and chime will still be there.

Why didn't you or why don't you put the sensors in the new wheels, then the system still works as advertised... I'm pretty sure you can remove the sensors from the old wheels and mount them on the new ones.

Whoa! $200 for 4 tire sensors? That surprises me (on second thought nothing about new car tech surprises me I guess).

Tell me about it. Maybe they'll get cheaper as time goes on. I've driven with a light and black tape for years on other cars, but throw in the chime and fuggedaboudit.

Still, the black tape....
Also, I wonder if it would kick off an error (+ the light, sans tape) that would preclude passing inspection (I'm in NY)? I'm thinking maybe, maybe not.

Hey, you can get color matching tape, you don't have to settle for black. You'll find out soon enough if you flunk inspection in NY. That would surprise me because most cars don't have the tire sensors yet. I'm glad my 07 doesn't have them, you can print that!

So, is the tire sensors standard on all R56's or is it an option? Thanks.
