Local shop for coilover install?

Hi guys, new to the board but have had my 06 MCS for a few months now. I just bought a set of coilovers and was wondering if there are any recommended shops locally that you'd trust with the install? I saw Miller Brothers mentioned in a previous thread and Reid Vann wants somewhere around $800 for install and alignment (!). Any other places that I should look in to?

Thanks!!

If the 800 includes a proper alignment and corner balancing, then the price actually isn't all that bad. I paid 400 for an alignment and corner balance from a highly respected facility.

Miller Brothers would be my choice, they are very reasonable and do a great job!

I was thinking you sent me a message the other day, but somehow it's not in my Inbox anymore...

In any case, to answer your question, I haven't had my suspension installed anywhere yet. I haven't had the money to get the swaybars, and I may still switch from the factory sport-suspension springs to some that lower the car a bit.

I know that's not much help, but didn't want you to think I was ignoring you!

Thanks for the reply anyways, Mike. Sport suspension would be a god idea if you are going to keep it relatively stock. But once you start upgrading to larger wheels, aero ki, etc I think a more aggressive drop is needed.

Doug, thanks for the suggestion - I will give them a call along with Miller Bros.

I just had Miller Bros do my alignment on my 09 JCW, my car was 142 bucks which is really not bad. I put coilovers on myself and needed to get it aligned. I had a very good experience with them.

its pretty simple to do on your own...i put mines on my 04 MCS...just call some friends over to help the process go faster and if you get stuck with what do yo there is a great DIY somewhere in this forum...and then take it to the shop and have them do the alignment...save yourself some money and have a reason to throw a mod party and meet new mini owners
