Swap meet idea
Swap meet idea
I just wanted to see if there is any interest in having a parts swap meet. Need extra storage space now taken up with OEM parts after doing mods, or OEM and mod parts left over from doing mods over, this may be the way to get rid of them. I'm thinking tires, wheels, accessories, performance parts, etc.
Post to this thread with ideas, and if your interested.

I think it's a good idea - especially for us who don't know much about the stuff and could see it first hand with people who do know about it. Even if I wouldn't pick anything up then, at least I'd be learning for later.

I would be down.... I think I have OEM stuff I need to rid of... I was just in the garage and it actually hit me with all the empty boxes from the aftermarket parts I bought. I have a 2 car garage and alls thats in there is boxes and my e30.... I buy too much...
Well this is a good start
Minimusic, you can be sure we will be talking mods and how to do them
.
Now that this has some interest, when would be a good time for most folks? We can work on where later.

I'm new to mini's, and would love to do something like this, I dont have much that I could sell, but would totally be up for seeing what everyone else has! I would think a park would be good, maybe a pot luck bbq kind of thing

Let me know if you need a place.
It would be a fun event to host. We have planty of parking and probably inside space for the Minis. Are you ready for this weekend at our place?

I'm currently looking for a strut bar if anybody has one at a good price.

Now that there seems to be some interest in this, I'll bring it up at the next club meeting, April 14th. I'm not a board member of the club, but attend them, as all members should try to do.

If you want to know how the club operates, want to offer input, and learn how you can get more involved and help the club out, this is how.

I have been in contact with Waylen from WAY MOTOR WORKS. Waylen is a MINI tech, and vendor on NAM. I asked him if he would be interested in coming here when/if we have a swap meet, to do mods/installs for folks, and he is interested
. I suggested to him that he come for a whole weekend, with the swap meet happening on the Sunday. That way he could do work for folks both days. We will be talking about this at our club meeting on Monday April 14th. Meeting info here:https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...73&postcount=1
Having Waylen here would be a great addition to the swap meet, so if you are thinking about getting some mods done, this may be a great time to get them done.
