Was wondering if anyone is thinking of going on this drive? The wife and I are thinking of going. leroy

 

I've gotten 3 RSVPs so we'll have a nice crew of four cars! The two clubs together will be 27 MINIs and 40 people!

Details as I have them:

The Bluegrass Club is meeting at 10 am EST in Clarksville and arriving at The Overlook Restaurant around Noon EST where we'll meet them for lunch. After lunch the whole crew will motor on to the West Baden Spring Hotel.

To meet them for lunch (11 am 'our time'), we need to leave Evansville by 8:15 a.m. CST.

My proposed route follows Indiana 66 along the Ohio River going through Tell City, Grandview, etc. Google drive time is 2.5 hours. I think a stop in Tell City would be a nice break.

8:15 a.m. Follow IN 66 to Tell City, IN
9:15 a.m. Break at Tell City
9:30 a.m. Leave Tell City for Leavenworth, IN along IN 66

1 p.m. Leave for West Baden

The weather went from sunny and 72 to rainy and in the 50's........oh well

 

Sunday: Mostly cloudy. A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms in the morning. Highs in the upper 60s. East winds 5 to 10 mph in the morning shifting to the south 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon.

 

I saw that.... I think mother nature senses my frustration and is backing down

"WOW" what a day Sunday was. Great weather, great drive , great meal, and most of all great to meet eveyone. Looking forward to the next get together.
