So. Cal Service at other than point of purchase?
Brecht is my closest dealer, but I am considering either Crevier or Irvine. Anyone else (down here) purchase in the LA/Orange County area and have their service done at Brecht? or is it worth it to drive back to the dealer you purchased from for service?
Input either way would be appreciated!
Thanks in advance!!

I went to Brecht to purchase a MCS in mid-January and was totally blown off by their take it or leave it attitude and exorbitant high prices. 10% “market adjustment” on a Cooper and 15% “market adjustment” on an S plus an $1895 "package" for floor mats, LoJack, PermaPlate and scheduled service extended to 4 years/50,000 miles. I didn’t want 3 out of 4 of the items, only the mats but was told “all their cars got this package”. So I called Creiver and was I glad I did. They were professional at every step of the sale, acted like they wanted my business, saved me money and delivered an ordered MCS is less then 2 and a half months. I plan to go back to Crevier for service as they also offer service loaners and Brecht doesn’t, even though Brecht has as much profit margin in a loaded up MCS with all their mark-ups and add-ons as there is in a new BMW 745i not including dealer hold-back. If you go to Crevier, ask for Christian Banks and tell him Jerry in Julian sent you. And by the way, Crevier took the same deal that I originally had tried to offer at Brecht.
I'm talking about interval service, warranty work (should there be problems), etc. I read how "some" service people treat you like 2nd class customers because the MC was not purchased at their dealership.
I was treated like a second class citizen when I was trying to purchase a MCS at Brecht. I knew what I wanted from the vehicle configurator on the MINIUSA website; I just wanted to see actual color combinations in person. The salesman never moved more then 3 feet from the same spot the 30 minutes I was there, if I had a question about a car outside I had to go back in the showroom and ask. This was on a Thursday afternoon, I was the only one there and I never heard a sales phone page so it’s not like he was busy. Why would I think their service is any better, especially since I did not buy there?
I have had service at Crevier. They were great. I didn't even buy it there but Eric Edwards in service was great. As I waited for it to get done, the sales guys bought me lunch. Good luck.

I've bought parts at Long Beach and they were nice, but I'm afraid I haven't had service done. I found the Irvine guys to be boneheaded when all they had to do was see if they could program a couple of things. Took them 5 hours to realize they didn't have the program. Meanwhile, my car was supposed to be going to the permaplate shop and never made it.
>>The guys at Assel Motors are great. They treated me like I owned a BMW..
I agree, i bought my MCS at Universal but there is always a wait to take my car in
(usually a week). Assael has be extremely helpful and efficient and I can usually take my car in the next day after I call.
