Guten Tag! motoring/underground is putting together an Oct 7th run to the Big Bear Lake Oktoberfest. We will meet at 11:00 at Wildwood Park (536 East 40th St. San Bernardino) : 10 Freeway East to 215 North to 30 East. Exit Waterman Ave (18), left (north) to 40th St. Turn right and then left into the parking lot. Between 11:30 and 12:00 we will depart and head to the fest for lunch. If we get enough of an early response, I will contact the fest and see if they can do a group rate and maybe arrange to have us all park as a group. From there have fun, but remember someone has to drive back so be reponsible and don't drink and drive. Fest details are below.

oohhh this sounds like an awesome event and i'd love to take the mini up there... unfortunately i've got a wedding to goto that weekend :(

It is absolutely beautiful up here this weekend. Almost hit the freezing mark last night.

I'll contact the editor of the local paper to see if we can get some press. Heck, they cover every other car group that shows up. I also got this after posting to the Yahoo group:

OK, went to the Oktoberfest last night. Had a great time with the family!

If we stay until 6 or so, they have several competitions to draw in guests like log sawing and stein holding. I drank way too much dark beer, but luckily the wife was our designated driver. Bratwurst was good, and at 5 PM they have Jaegermeister Happy Hour until 7. $5 test tubes of Jaeger. I think the Jaeger Girls are scheduled for an appearance next Saturday as well. No sign of "Duff Man!"

Should be a blast!

looks like i won't be driving up the mountain due to a schedule conflict, but i'll probably be showing up @ the meet up location since it's down the street from my house (11am, right?)... meet new people, take some photos, etc....
