Getting off the 405N at Lakewood, I spotted an LY MINI out of the corner of my eye. I slowed down and they pulled alongside (two lanes over) and smiled. I waved and said "nice car" they laughed, waved and moved on.

Tis good to be driving a MINI.

 

A DS/W in Carmel Mountain, a LB/B on Gopher Canyon Rd and finally, a Yellow on 76/Olive Hill. All 3 waves returned! Woo-hoo!

 

Boo! One day on the roads..

 

Spotted a MCC (forgot the color) in the Trader Joes parking lot in Irvine (on Walnut). Didn't see the owner but license plate pronounced "Fun Mini". NicE!

 

Noticed a Pepper White S (with black stripes) on northbound 605 as I was exiting on Imperial Highway this evening. I waved but don't know if driver saw me since I had to pay attention to switching lanes.

 

And I got a headlight flash from a Pepper White with black stripes and black roof in the Cuyamacas near Julian today. I waved back - couldn't see them as they had a fairly dark tint on the windows.

Waving in San Diego County seems to be making a comeback. I've had lots lately.

 

Okay, this is an extraordinary spotting.
On Google Maps I'm looking up nearby AT&T Stores and when I put in the address to the Santa Fe Springs store (11464 Telegraph Rd), there's a Chili Red/W in the "Street Level" view! How cool is that!



I wonder how often Google updates these street level views?

 

Cool find and they don't update this that often, every 3-6 months.

 

a bit late, saw a nice black MCS heading north on the 14 around 1pm on jul 2nd. I was driving my dad's pathfinder and had my passengers wave for me to the brunette driver who seemed to have red hair on her right side.

 

Sounds like someone familiar!

 

i spotted that one douche that showed up to our monday night meet and freaked out and never came back on the 210 this morning.. I was waving, but i was in a Honda CRV.. i'm sure he was like "FTH"?

I pulled alongside a BRG/W R56 with full Union Jack decor at the 73 and El Toro intersection in South OC.
We traded "thumbs-up".

C Shelly on El Camino Real at Santa Fe yesterday morning. We were stuck in traffic behind a truck that was lost.

 

I have noticed the same thing... Although, my husband and I joke that people are waving because they see the difference now that we've successfully completed our first rally.

Saw a Yellow/white with checkerboard mirror caps in CMR, but no wave.

 

Spotted a medium blue classic Mini pickup, on the 91E around 7:40 tonight near the Carmenita exit, didn't get a chance to wave, they passed me too quickly.

 

I was on my way to my folks' place in Carson earlier this morning and I ran into and exchanged waves with the driver of a CR R53, "MINIKNZ".

 

Had some fun with a R53 PW/B JCW on the 405 starting from the Getty up to when he excited on Ventura Blvd.

On Sunday on the 101 saw a eb/b who was just carving up traffic. Ease up dood!

Not yet, but I'll keep an eye out ........... I usually travel down Zelzah around 6 am and back around 4 or so from CSUN. I agree with the wavers - lack of! I always wave and honk and hope they feel foolish if they don't respond in kind.

 

if you can't see, you'll definately hear me lol....are you a student or a teacher? i see the most wavers from tarzana to encino all the way down to studio city

 

keep a look out for me also! Oxygen Blue/White with checker mirrors....I go to CSUN and work/live in the area. I dont think I have ever seen you around or Goldie. I usually smile or wave if the other person does first.

Today actually I saw someone in a CR/B driving down Lassen toward Wilbur but I was going the other way. I saw him checking out my car....hehe

 

I actually work at CSUN in IT & I think I've seen Dory the Cooper (parked by the ADC facing Plummer?)

 

i dont go to csun anymore but my brother does ill make sure he keeps an eye out...the other day i say a brg r53 and i was stopped at a red light in the turn lane making a left on owensmouth going south....the other guy was making a left on ownensmouth going north, also stopped at the light....there was like an awkward moment, we both saw but no acknowledgment....then i gave him teh "blink" (headlight flash) and he "blinked" back and gave me a thumbs up....it was tooooooo funnyyyyyyy
