On our way back from school this morning I spotted a CR/B R53 in the rearview of my girlfriends 'vert over in San Marino. Spotted you as you got behind me at Lake, I was gawking at your perfect R53 (love the wrapped rally lights down low). I told my girlfriend and she agreed as did our friend in the back seat... 'twas great exchanging peace signs as you made a left on Arden and we continued on Oak Knoll. Sweet ride!

 

on my way to work this morning on the 405S, i saw a blue r53 with silver bonnet stripes from the scoop and checkered side panels. caught up with him, gave him a nice enthusiastic wave in which was returned.

Today turning out of the shopping center at the 76 and College in Oceanside, I pulled up behind a Pepper White. Nevada plates said SGT PPR. Love the plates.

 

This morning around 6:30 heading west on the 91 around the 57 I think. Got a wave from an R53 MCS CR/B with bonnet stripes. I returned the wave hope you saw it. Made my day.

Also saw a couple MINI's with custom plates at Long Beach MINI, but I forget what they are now. Anyone here having some work done?

 

3pm today, LB/W R56 w/ plate: 4MINIACS going westbound on the 10, as we were passing IKEA/In n Out.

Tried a practice wave, but you probably weren't expecting one from an acura.

 

spotted a blue R53 w/ an aero kit in East Los Angeles today @ ~1:30. Must have been an '06 because of the silver roof. What caught my eye was that it had a wing on the front of the roof AND one on the rear where it usually goes

 

Gotta nice smile and a wave this morning on the EB 91 through Corona. She was in a LY/W MCS...best color on the road

 

Got a nice honk and wave from a Dark Silver with black roof (I think) on Garnet in Pacific Beach (aka Baja La Jolla). I was in my Indi Blue with the Union Jack roof. I hadn't been paying attention - hope they saw my (late) wave back.

Waving activity in San Diego seems to be picking up, but it may be a statistical anomaly. Lots and lots and lots of Coopers on the streets now. Not like the Good Old Days of 2004, when Minis were rare - and I was rich, young, and handsome!

I was on Garnet in Pacific Beach today headed up the hill to my sisters house in Clairemont Mesa with my DS/W MCS about 11:00 AM. Was it me???? Probably not as I did not see you or honk at any SD MINI's!!

Nope, not you. They honked and waved while driving by Ingraham on Garnet. I was stopped on Ingraham. But it was about 11 am - so you missed me, but not by much. Stop by next time and admire my ratty Inno!

Today was a good day. Got a look from a gentleman in a PW/B R56 with bonnet stripes, on the 91W around the Tustin exit about 9:00am. Also on the 91W possibly also around 9:00am I spotted a metallic mint green/W MC with bikes on the roof rack and SKRT on the plate, she waved first! Then on Katella and Glassell about noon, pulled up next to a girl in a HB/B R56, Got a smile and a HI (I think, couldn't hear very well) I waved and probably gave an awkward smile.

So I'd have to say it was a good day.

 

Got my first wave in weeks or months even.. from a yellow 1st gen MCS tonight on the Westbound 105 around 7pm. Helllloooo, if you're out there!

 

Passed 4 Minis going east on Del Dios highway: Yellow, Oxy Blue, Chili Red, Dark Silver. All between 2-2:45 this afternoon.

Passed one other DS/B with nice Xenon headlights traveling on Olive Hill towards the 76 in Bonsall about 5:45pm today. [A block from where I live].

No one waved back.

 

I have a couple of sooper days.

Yesterday I surprised a guy on the 57N in a silver Cooper. I pulled along side him and waved. He looked surprised and waved back.

Today I saw the Red Bull Cooper on the 55N. They drove by and the passenger grinned as she passed. Also saw a silver Cooper with black chex on the side on Yorba Linda Blvd. I waved and she waved back.

If you are in Tustin tomorrow in the am, you'll likely see many, many MINIs. Stop by the Enderle center off 17th/55th to see many, many MINIs.

 

I see a hot chocolat/ silver clubman around the Culver City area..

errr .. one day soon I will see you .. I leave for NorCal on Friday, and will be in Australia until November ... I've got my fingers crossed!!

Got a nice wave from a pretty brunette in a CR/White R56 S today on the 105 West. Her window was half open, and I opened mine (because of my dark tint) and wasn't sure if she was a waver, so I just smiled, and as I pulled away--caught her waving at me, lol. I followed behind her for a couple miles before pulling away..hope I didn't scare her, lol.

Saw my first Clubman this a.m. Red/Black (don't know "official" Clubman color terminology!). She was not a waver.

Saw SB/S R53 Checkmate yesterday on Willow in LB.

I saw a Chili Red / Black roof Clubman in Lakewood a couple of weeks ago. She waved back when I waved at her though.
