Spotted nice Sparkling Silver Clubman cruising northbound 215 through 'Berdoo, driver enjoying his Subway!! Would've waved but I was cruising my two-wheel rocket.

 

Spotted this convertible in traffic on the westbound 91 between Carmenita and the 605.



I waved and honked but they acted as though I wasn't there.
Were it not for me traveling so much to Chicago, I'd think Illinois MINI drivers are clueless about greeting fellow owners.

 

I saw Basil's twin this weekend, and got a nice wave back from the couple inside. Their cool blue cab had cool bonnet stripes. Thanks for making me smile!

 

Spotted a MINI E headed north on I-5 in San Diego yesterday. Had Irvine MINI paper plates on it. I got a wave!

If he was headed to Irvine, I hope he was freshly charged! He was tooling along in the fast lane at 75 or so.

I think I saw that one on the coast in Cardiff last week. I was having breakfast at Ki's and it zipped by.

 

Anyone watch tonight's Channel 7 newscast? There was a report about an accident on the 10 and people stopping to help. Someone apparently shot video. The main car to stop and assist was a MINI!

 

Did you expect any less?! MINI drivers are people with great character and moral standing.

A little more info since they repeated this story twice this morning.
The incident happened around the 60 and 10 in the El Monte area. You could clearly see the BRG's driver getting out and helping.

Xb's.. I don't even try, it's almost insulting to my MINI. Same for the Silverado. The Camry... why on earth to Camry driver's think they're fast?! I get these guys every other day, I swear.

 

Good men... all of em. Although it's unfortunate to of ever had that accident.. it's good to see that good people that are willing to risk their lives are still out there.

saw a nice yellow r53 w/ roof rack on valley view ave and orange ave in cypress, ca. today!

 

I haven't run into anything like that thankfully. However some guy in what looked like a Brabus Smart may have been attempting it at a light once...I couldn't really tell but he revved a little at the light and it sounded like his engine was working hard at least.

I just kind of slowly cruised next to him up to 30 then just decided to finally speed up to the speed limit (50 there). Those things are quite slow.

 

Spotted today:
MC40 parked directly in front of my MINI at Target on La Cienega and Rodeo.

 

Even on weekdays, the local mountains were full of MINIs Saw several R53s and a couple R56s today, but I was two-wheeling it and waving at these guys just makes me look weird .

On another MINI note...can't wait, the IE is finally getting a MINI dealership!

I've recently noticed an uptick of R50s and R53s tooling around the San Bernardino area. One is an Indigo Blue/White- the driver and co-pilot play tennis at the CSUSB tennis courts. I havent had a chance to meet them because I am always inside the gym as they walk by. Oh yeah- Arizona plates. Anyone we know?

Also, (as far as I know)... The IE MINI dealership will be at Savage BMW in Ontario. Should be interesting to see how that effects the wait times @ MINI of Monrovia (formerly ASSAEL MINI).

DS/B R53 at Bob's Big Boy in Burbank today at about noon. Quad driving lights, lowered on what looked to be Rota Slipstreams (unless you had the real deal Regamaster Evo's). I was digging the split tip exhaust setup!!!

 

Holly crap i just had a great mini experience lol this guy gave ma a wave and a smile and show lol it was funny he was making a left and made a bit of a squeek at the end and every1 looked at us lol
