Saturday, driving back from NorCal vs SoCal Euro down the 101-S, there was an electric blue/white MCS with painted arches and painted rear grille. It had white stripes and driving lights, too. Oh, and the MINI logo on the boot was missing.

The girl driving it was quite attractive!

I see several every day from my communte from Tustin Ranch to Huntington Beach. I stopped flashing people and waving long ago because nobody else does it and the girl in the all black Cooper in Irvine might get a restraining order against me.

On 7th St: EB/W MCS

Driving to work on Lincoln: DS/B MCS, B/W MC,

Seems like Santa Monica is crawling with MINI's (which is not a bad thing) :smile:

 

I saw a nice looking Chili Red Cooper with a checkerboard top on the 5 and 55 freeway in Tustin this morning.

Aah! Finally saw a bunch today! At 5:30pm, driving west on Sepulveda Blvd & Vermont in Carson, I saw...a yellow/white mini, and a CR/W/ white bonnet stripes driving eastward. About 10 minutes later, I spotted a Dark Silver/Black/tinted windows driving south on Avalon. Three in a day! Any takers here?

 

I saw an all Chili Red MINI toady in Tustin - even the rims were red. The license plate was "HBOMBR" or something like that. Is HBO a club (HBO Member) or does it mean something like H-Bomber? Anybody know this person? The rims were sure cool looking with the red.

 

CR/R Saturday about 4 pm going north on the PCH in LaJolla/DelMar area. You were moving!

 

Today at lunch I saw 3...

2 by CPK in Marina Del Rey-:

a Red S with 17" white Mille Miglia HT3'S

& an Indi Blue S with white bonnet stripes (he waved back)

Also Saw a velvet red heading south on Lincoln at about 2:30

(this place is crawling with MINI's)

 

This morning on south bound 5 fwy around Del Mar I saw eb/w MCS with white bonnet stripes and a PS/W MCS. Seems like every month I see more MINIs around here.

I finally got somebody to wave back to me! I saw a Chili Red with White top MINI with bonnet stripes (just like mine!) in Laguna Beach on Friday - they were heading south and I was going north at about 10:00 or so. I have seen several MINIS since I got mine but most people are not very friendly. On the 55 freeway northbound a few weeks ago - and totally by accident - there were three MINIs lined up in traffic side-by-side. There was a Yellow in the fast lane, a blue MINI in the second lane, and I was in the third lane. It looked like a scene from the Italian Job! The other owners were not as excited as I was, though.

if you're ever in the south oc area and see a ps/b mcs, rest assured you will get a wave or a thumbs up from me. you are right about the lack of friendliness though. i don't get many responses down here. oh well, such is life.

I am in south county all the time - I live in tustin Ranch but I'm a real estate appraiser so I am out and about a lot. I am trying to figure out what ps/b is, though, because I am not familiar with all the colors.

I'm in town for work for the night. There was a DS/W MCS behind me all the way on Laurel Canyon, plate was A MINIAC. Nice setup with the aero kit. Too bad you guys need to put front plate one, takes away from the look
