The Charlotte Branch of M2C2 (The MINI Motoring Club of the Carolinas) is hosting a meet and greet to be held from 2:00PM to 4:00PM on Sunday May 16th. The location is Jillan’s at Concord Mills Mall off exit 49 on I85 North of Charlotte.

After using Jillian’s for dinner in conjunction with M2C2 Lowe's Motor Speedway driving event last September; Jillian’s is offering us a freebie. We will have 2 hr. of open bowling and complimentary hors d’oeuvres. We also will be allowed to park our MINIs on their patio out of harms way as we did last September.

Everyone is welcome-members, non-members and any one that would like to meet their fellow MINI owners in the surrounding Charlotte area. We would like this event to become a monthly event rotating around the Charlotte area. We would like to discuss ways of becoming more MINI active in Charlotte.

Please bring the whole family including children, as there are plenty of things to keep everyone busy at Jillian’s as well as throughout Concord Mills Mall.

We will have a special guest, Terry Stevens, representing Hotchkis Performance. He will have a MINI equipped with H-Sport sway bars available for your inspection.

If you plan to attend please post a reply at the http://www.M2C2.org forum so that we may keep Jillian’s updated with the head count.

Several of us are planning to stay at the mall afterwards and have an early dinner together. Please feel free to join us. Dinner will be individual checks with everyone seated together.

I'm going to come on down from Raleigh. I did try to schedule a meet that day, but since I had oral surgery, I don't know if I have the time to get the plans together, but I did a post to see if anyone from Raleigh would be interested in driving down to Charlotte that day. I'm hoping that there will be some takers!

okay, I swear I posted to this thread before, but it's gone. I plan on being there.

You did post to let us now that you would be coming and we glad you are.

The confusion is there is a South East Carolina category and there is a separate category for M2C2. When you go to M2C2.org and click on forum it redirects you there, since NAM hosts our web site.

We are trying to post any club-related events or topics to the M2C2 forum and events and topics that are not club related to the South East Carolinas. Sometimes we are posting to both areas so we do not miss anyone. The meet & greet in Charlotte is open to members and non-members. We hope to pick up more attendees by posting in both and on MINI2.

We know that it's confusing and is something we need to address at a meeting. I hope that helps.

Ohhhh man, I was planning to drive down to the Charlotte meet-and-greet as the last time was at Lowe's for the driving school, but as it turns out close friends of mine are coming up from Raleigh this weekend - go figure.

Charlotte Meet & Greet Update

Everything is shaping up nicely. I stopped by and talked with the staff at Jillian’s today. They are very excited to have us park our MINIs on the patio. When you come in the mall drive up to Jillian’s and you will see us. You will be able to drive your MINI onto the patio. I was also able to talk Jillian’s into more appetizers and some free game cards for the kids.
We will also have a quite area to go to and listen to Terry Stevens talk about the H-Sport sway bars while others are bowling. Terry is also bringing some give-aways.

If you are an M2C2 club member and have not received your membership card we will have it there for you. We will also be giving out to each member the new official M2C2 club car window decal thanks to the efforts of Smokey and LJ.

Our friends from Century MIN have provided some new MINI posters for everyone.

If the weather is good Jillian’s said we can eat outside on the patio for those staying for dinner and watch our MINIs while we eat.

Everyone is welcome so please come join us, club members and non-members.

The official count is over 20 MINIs with another 7 or 8 still not sure.
