Those look chunky for Comp-2's, they the All Seasons?
Yup, I have the same tire. I really didn't want all-seasons but I got them for $106 per tire so on the car they went. I only have a few hundred miles on them but so far so good. Nice 'n grippy and QUIET!
I made appointments with the dealer for my 2003 (Power Steering recall) and my 2006 for an (Airbag recall). Then it's time to put the 2006 up for sale and search for a convertible JCW. Good day though, love these cars!

Yes. And these are 215 width. After doing some forum research I decided to go for it! The OE size is 205/45/17.
And I agree with newman4333. They are pretty quiet. I've put on about 100 miles and love the tires so far. I haven't pushed them too hard in the corners yet; I want the treads to get a little abraded first. Yesterday I did take one turn a little fast and got a bit of tire squeal.
I have run the G-force Comp 2s, 215/45/17 for about 1500 miles, great tire, works well in wet. I tried the Hankook but the sidewalls seems to give, so I returned them. I also use the BFG Rivals on track which are great.
Not quite as plug and play as I had hoped. Still, a bit of plastidip until I decide which colour I want it to be and we are away.
Poor car looks pretty beat up. I work ~200km away and pass our legendary road trains fairly frequently and the amount of grit they suck along with them is astounding.
Black line trim, blacked out beltline and an eBay shorty antenna and red gas cap cover.
Unfortunately, no one makes the lower grille trim for the Aero Kit bumper in black, so I have an JCW black upper and a Plastidipped lower. Maybe someday I'll get it wrapped in gloss black so it matches perfectly.
Also did some maintenance stuff like an oil change and a new AFE Pro Dry air filter. Now to decide what wheels I want, since I've gone back and forth on like six different sets so far

Finally decided to list my beloved Barnaby for sale this afternoon. Sad, sad day. Oh well on to bigger and better things I guess...
Noooo! I'm sad to hear that but if it isn't reliable when you need it to be then I totally get it. I was really attached to my old car when I bought my mini. I held on to it for almost a year but recently decided to give it to my little sister. So it's still in the family! I hope you can find something (hopefully a mini) that brings you as much joy as Barnaby did when he ran well. Good luck, and let us know what you get next! 😊

I plastipped my grill trim but even with several coats of glossifier, it had a matte finish. I wrapped my grill trim in gloss black vinyl in black instead and I like it much better now.

The comp-2's are great in the wet and they hold the road better than the comp-2 A/S. I went with the PSS's this last time, they hold the road better in the twisties and when accelerating. Comp 2's are much more affordable though. This may or may not be the last time I stick some Michelin's on. The last 6 months with them have been fantastic May try the Conti's next go round since I hear good things about those. Get a little variety
Swapped my Madness Motorworks intake to M7 for legal reasons since I live in California... on that note, anyone wanna buy my Madness intake from me? I'll post it in the marketplace tonight with details if no one DM's me by then
Gave him a bath over the weekend so he looks like a sharp dressed Mini!
Got in over my head and actually started armoralling q-tips to clean up and get the front aero grill back to black... Worked, looks great/new but... (took a while)
And then I did the grills on top inbetween the bonnet and windscreen. Then the plastic grill areas on the back bumper... Almost getting out of control...
Dirty q tip, very clean MINI Works good on those interior vents is what I found.
Yes they do! I use a compressed air gun for the interior as well along with a brush for those hardened dust spots. If those fail, then its time to break out the q-tips... hehe

Thanks all, honestly at this point I will just be going with a Toyota Corolla till I finish up college and get a job then go from there. I will keep you all posted. I am currently taking all the parts off my MINI before I trade it in or sell it cheap on CL.
I went for a 10 mile drive and I'm really liking the feel. There's only 2 adjustment points on this bar and I have it on the softer of the two. I didn't upgrade the links, which I'm sure will change the feel a little, but I'll be doing that in a week or two. Installation was a breeze. How to's I've seen say that both rear shocks need to be removed, however I only unbolted the TOP of ONE side and that was enough to get the job done. Oh, the best part is that this bar does not require greasing the bushings, eeeeeeeeeever!
I flushed out my cooling system and put fresh new blue BMW/MINI coolant back in. Discovered that the dealership that did the last coolant service used standard green coolant!
Hella 500s mounted on factory hood brackets. They work great and look perfect. There's something about Minis where driving lights really fit the character of the car. I also added the storage tray from a 2005 or 2006 under the switch panel and mounted the switch for the lights into it.
