"I Got The Itch Ride" - Thursday July 22nd
This is a last minute ride we will put on for Justin Lewis from Oklahoma who will be visiting Colorado. The ride will likely start Thursday morning and depart from Colorado Springs. Tentatively, we plan to drive the back way up Hwy 24 to Breckenridge and hopefully pay a visit to Loveland pass.
Hopefully a few of you can play hooky.
Watch this thread for more details. Also, PM me to RSVP.

I had a blast also. I think my Dad had fun also even though he thought we were going to fly off the side of the mountain.
Great pics I hope to have mine posted in the near future.

Guess ill have to get me a little cam to do it for me next time. Jen thought the trip was one of the best moments for her during our vacation because the drive was just awsome. BTW when you two tore off down real fast and left me i looked back and there was some motorcycles (croch rockets) behind me trying to go fast through the curves and they couldnt hang with me i would leave them in the corners and they would catch up with me in the straights. IT WAS A BLAST. I highly recomend that drive to anyone that has a need for some curves.

Thanks for the comments. We enjoyed the ride too...
and we appreciate your making the initial contact that got us to go and enjoy a fun, mid-week ride. This just reinforces the notion (found all over NAM) that MINI owners can go, drive, and share without having to have a whole lot in common. That it can happen this easily and result in pleasure for all is testament to the fact that Motoring is, in fact, therapeutic.
Please let others know that out here in Colorado we have a beautiful, twisty, curvy, windy and hilly part of the country that we are willing to share. Should anyone else be visiting in our area, please contact us at www.MINI5280.org or on this site and we are glad to set up a ride for you.
Thanks again for your pics..with your permission, can Sean reproduce them in our site? Enjoyed the ride. Regards to Jen...

Hi Ho Silver
PS: And don't forget my invite to do Loveland pass, in the snow, in the dark. Talk about white knuckles....

Next Trip? Drive Pike's Peak...
If you really want a thrill, this is it unless there is traffic. And, it is fun coming down too...all brakes.
Only downside...it is real hard on the cars. Better to be driving a rental....so keep it in mind.
