Code 3786 and 2947

So I just recently picked up a 2011 MCS with 52k miles and after 11 days engine code turned on. Honda dealership said code 3786 and 2947. They took it to the BMW/Mini dealership for repair. I dropped it off last Thursday and I got a call Friday morning that BMW dealership won't be able to check on the car til 3-4 days. I bought the car with a 3 month/3,000 miles limited powertrain warranty. My take is it probably won't be covered except for the 3786 since it's a recall. Has anyone replaced their coolant temp sensor? And how hard would it be to replace? I might have to just do the work myself if it's gonna cost too much.

There is some information about the coolant temp sensor here. You may not need to worry about replacing it yourself as it looks like it was a recall.

Thank you so much! Any idea on how long the repair is suppose to take? They have my car since Friday. They told me they probably won't be able to get to my car for 3-4 days so I say maybe they started it yesterday or today.

Can put your vin in HERE. The thread I linked said 2011 and 2012 year MINI's. Try posting in that thread with your issue and see if one of those individuals who dealt with it may have some advice for you.

They will be replacing the thermostat the second time. The thermostat was replaced in 2012. Is this very common with the mini's?

I've seen a few times where people have listed they've replaced their thermostat more than once. There is a thread here on NAM where people list their issues with their R56's so far. Linked to a post where an individual has replaced his 3 times already.
