That's right we're back. We'll have both MINI's at VIR. THe #20 is good to go and so is the #02. Last year we lead a good part of this race. And ended with a top 5 finish. I coasted from the top of the roller coaster to the checkered flag and still finished 5th.
We're looking for better results this year. The cars are working fine and if I can keep the wheels under me we should do okay.

So much of what makes for a good race team often includes things that must happen between competitions, and you guys were tasked with much! I look forward to another strong VIR showing Tony. I hope the weather will be somewhat cool for you guys... Going to your website now!

 

Given that i have only had the mini for a year, im totaly about nuzzo. I really hope that they come to florida soon. Great team to watch and follow.

 

We'll be at Daytona in January.

Like you I'm all about Nuzzo. It's kinda like a new hobby because I'm not into Nascar but Grand AM is great. They don't just turn Left!

 

I was at VIR last weekend and learned that the race this weekend was to be carried live on Speed Channel.

 

Wow, live as in a direct telecast (same day, same time)? Most have been on SPEED, but usually a couple weeks later... College football, and Tony @ VIR would be a fantastic day!

Looks like the #20 car qualified 20th in ST. Moving-up through traffic has not been an issue before though... so long as it's not NASCAR mentality out there!

I really wish they would go back to split races though. The delta for qualifying top speeds is 15 mph! Race starting now...

 

Sounds like on lap 30 we had some "tire problem" or something... Drat! Yellow flags galore in the first part of this race. Weather is certainly a factor as rain has been coming and going, and with that, decisions on what tires to go with...

We were up to 10th at one point! Looks like we are not out though, but dropped back a couple laps... to 20th, and have worked-up to 17th with about 40 minutes left (I doubt the lap limit will be reached)...

 

I was there. Weather was BAD. There was a lot of yellow flag and pace car action. Fun to watch, but I got very wet!

 

I was there too. I only saw one MINI, though. It was fun watching it move up in the first 10-12 laps. I couldn't believe it would outpull the RX-8s and M3s coming out of the turns


I really loved seeing those Mustangs take the turns, they looked awesome

We've crossed paths a few times. most recently at Octoberfest at VIR. he was driving an old Motorsports CSL. He seems to be there alot. i've also been on his track in SC a few times for various occasions. i taught him how to drive a segway.
