2 RMW equipped cars break the magical 1:30 barrier at Streets of Willow
let me know... I can't figure out which looks best.... but I do want the "FAST" ones
thanks Nathan,
I sure don't want any excuses why I didn't go faster
I will be ordering now
I can't seem to find the bigger brake/clutch pedals?
Jan
The larger clutch and brake pedals are under the Ferrari section. All the models appear to be the same. After removing the rubber covers from the stock pedals you place the new pedals where you like them and drill two holes for each pedal. I put them on my GP in the spring and they are great! They make heel and toe sooo much easier. I also went with the frosted plain finish and they work great. I also think the rubber dots would make them slippery when wet.

Would you care to explain how I am trying to misinform people?
The Time line:
The Time line:
- You post about breaking some sort of "barrier" or 1:30 at Streets of Willow
- A number of people are skeptical and question this barrier
- Tuls (one of your supporters) finds a video marked as a record on the Porsche Owners Club website of a lap on the Streets of Willow with a time of 1:31.497
- I find a table of lap records on the Porsche Owners Club website listing times of far under 1:30
- Gnatster (another one of your supporters) posts indicating that the times are not a valid comparison because the records pages indicate a track configuration of "Configuration 1"
- I find a diagram on the Porsche Owners Club website indicating the layout of the track they run at their driving schools
- You accuse me of trying to misinform people
I support anyone that has quality products and customer service for the Mini market on this forum.
So don't label me a fanboi like you did. If you have a problem with anything I say or do please deal with me directly.
You, on the other hand do anything you can to discredit anything you do not understand. One of them being that this Mini on that track on that day has posted a time that you have seen for a lap that is faster then you want to believe. Now you have to make every excuse in the book as to why this is not possible. I do not see any reports of you actually getting out and flogging a Mini, only rhetoric. I am at a track almost every other weekend. I may not be good at but I do have fun, and thats what this is all about, fun....
I am finished with you sir, you obviously have an agenda and I don't play that game. Congratulations for being the first person ever to be put on an ignore list by me since 1994 when I first signed on the internet.

I'm with gnatster....my money goes to any vendor who cuts the mustard and I'm not shy about pointing who makes the grade in my book and who doesn't (whether you care or not is up to you). Dubya tee effe is the point of this forum if people don't want to hear that info anyways? If that's a fanboi, well, you've obviously got something big missing IRL to be on the interwebnets calling people names.
ha ha ok ok... Please know this is not a flame.. this is a straight up no ish answer... not to be taken as an attack... but rather in good spirit of the apparent competitiveness going on

I would like to point out that I am not a "supporter" of Jan's... I am a supporter of people doing kewl and unpossible things...
Jan has repeatedly stepped up and met challenges no one else would... he has done more in his short time as a vendor than most in all the years of the New MINI than pretty much anyone... maybe besides Hubie.. and waht Hubie does is entirely different.. and not become some what worthless covered in fur
I support people who do great work.. people who back up their words.. so yes in that light I support Jan...
the link I posted was the TRACK RECORD for the SAME configuration for the CLASS he ran...
Jan beat it...
The reason I posted it.. was because people kept saying "hows it a record?" "who said it was a record?" etc
there you have it... so now... WE as MINI folk have a record... want to shut Jan the hell up?!
beat him..

well actually Sean did beat me with my own products
Of course he is a National Champion driver
but it goes to show you my products work..... the challange is open... bring your cars.... and stop running your mouths
continuing to respond to such drivel is getting tiring.... then again, running your mouth is much easier than doing it
some are just resolved to such antics because there is nothing left to hold on to

old saying at the race track : When the green flag drops, the bs stops.
Keep the websites on the computer, get the car on the track and make it go fast. and shutup, or not, at one's discretion.........

Impressive times @ SOW , record or not! It's allways fun to go fast at the track in a car no one expects to be that fast....that whole underdog kinda thing
Just wondering what size and type of tires you were running and are you guys using the stock brakes?

May I suggest VIR as a possible track for a possible shootout?
3.27 miles, great twisty bits and some long straights...http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H5ApzBjvd2U
Granted it's a bit of a haul for RMW, but it's conveniently closer to the tuners who talked smack and will make it easier for them to back their talk up.
I'd kick in $50 for this shootout.
