So right now I have a 2014 mini cooper paceman s all4 with a 1'' lowering kit, straight pipe muffle delete, subs, and window tint and I'm trying to figure out what to do next, any tips on mods or upgrade to exterior looks.
I have a manual '14 S All 4. As far as mods I've been using an Injen CAI I got from BavAuto and the JB+ tune. Changed the muffler with a Megan Racing axleback, not really for performance just a cleaner look in the rear with the bigger pipes.
I recently popped open the JB+ and realized it was set to 50% (I'd purchased it on eBay) so I turned it up. There's a noticeable increase in performance, the Paceman feels more grabby and eager to go. Reminds me of my old WRX a little.
As far as other mods I'd added in an always on backup camera mounted on the glovebox door. Being able to see who's behind me as I'm casually rolling back on hills is wonderful. Have also swapped out all bulbs for led inside and out, as well as installed Mini projectors in the door lights.
Looking into other mods but I'm more or less set on the cars' performance as it is now. I'm delighted each time I drive my Paceman. Only other thing I'd like now is an aftermarket audio system to curb the speed adjusted volume which is the bane of my existence.
Hoping to hear of other owners R61. It really is a great car
A Paceman All4 S is a sharp looking MINI and most have no idea how well they handle. For the smaller MINIs a stiffer rear swaybar removes allot of the understeer. Can you get one for yours?
And yes pictures, a lowered Paceman should be even better looking.
I wrapped my car in matte black and blacked out most of the chrome. Do you have any pics of your current setup? CM and PM are very close, sorry I don't have any Paceman pics.
For stock wheels I think you can fit up to 20 mm, but that might create rubbing issues. 15mm should make it look really good. The only issues with spacers over 5mm on the stock bolts is you may not have enough thread in for safety.
I recommend upgrading to a stud conversion kit. ApexRaceParts has great quality kits. They have 75mm studs (what i use, no spacers though), good for up to 12mm spacers and 90mm studs, good for 15mm+.
