R60ALL4 Lower Torque/Engine Mount Re-Install Suggestions?
I purchased the Powerflex poly Large/Small Torque arm bushings from waymotorworks, and I'm like 95% done getting the bushings for the lower torque/engine mount re-installed. After what I thought would be the hard part, popping the old bushings out, I went to do what I thought was the easiest part put the whole torque mount with new bushings back in the R60ALL4 and I am kinda stuck. I looked here and elsewhere and people indicate having to wrestle them back in there, granted that's generally for the non R60 ALL4 and usually referencing the inserts, not the full bushing. However, they look similar though as far as what it fills in and the space that is taken otherwise. I tried seeing if I could lift the engine a bit on the transmission, wasn't comfortable doing it on the oil pan, also tried using a pry bar on where the small bushings mount. I was able to get it closer but, still not enough clearance and didn't want to risk breaking anything. I've tried all kinds of Tetris like movement in and around the mount, but most I can do is get the large bushing part in which means then I cant get it lined up with the small one. If I am missing something or anyone has any suggestions, let me know. See pics below for reference Thanks.

did you try flipping it upside down. Had the same issue when I was installing mine. Took me 30 min of struggling to figure out I was installing it upside down. If you take a close look I think there’s an arrow on the bracket.
I tried to be careful taking it out and took a picture right after to make sure just in case it was oriented a certain way. I didn't see an arrow, but I tried to flip it around anyway and tried carefully lifting the car on the oil pan. It was close like within a few centimeters tried to push it over but still didn't clear. Tried taking the inserts this bushing has since its optional for more rigidity just to see, but lifting it by the oil pan was the closest I got.
Is there a particular angle or method you or others you know of used to get it in there?

not really I just remember I was finally able to force it in once I had the right orientation. I have a 2WD don’t know if they’re different. Call or email Way. They’re usually very helpful and have good customer service.

Well for one, the 2WD prob doesn't have that big ole transfer case right next to it partially in the way... I had read that the ALL4/AWD system was more difficult to get it installed, but no one indicated this much difficulty.
So feel like I am going in at a wrong angle, not moving the engine/mount the right way, or something else wrong, hopefully, something simple stupid I am doing. I will follow up with Way since they prob done a couple of these before... and I just bought this from them a few weeks ago. Hopefully, they have some suggestions on what I am doing wrong on how to get it in there for the ALL4 version since most people don't seem to have an issue for the most part otherwise. My father tried it for while I worked on getting the rear differential mounts removed / installed, and he gave up after a while too. Appreciate your time and response.
I use a prybar to pry the engine forward and get it in.
Trick is to have both front wheels off the ground and have the car in Neutral. that will allow the engine to rock more to get it in. Not super easy, but it will work

Thanks! I will give it a try tomorrow after work. Is there a particular place that's best to situate the prybar when pushing the engine forward?
I put the prybar on the block and bracket for the mount
Thanks so much for your words of wisdom and suggestions. I was able to get the extra couple centimeters I needed to get it up and around the mount. Worked easier as well with two people having my father hold the crowbar while I moved the mount around and into place. Now on to finishing my half done replacement of the differential bushings I got from you all. :-)
the diff bushings are alot easier than the lower engine mount. the lower engine mount is alot easier with 2 people. i actually ended up only using 1 of the two inserts cause i couldnt do both of them at the same time by myself. i dont seem to have an issue that way so i just have never put the other side in.
Just did this yesterday. Couldn't get the engine to move enough to slip it in, no matter how hard my accomplice or I tried. An easier, if not more barbaric way to accomplish the task is to put the bushing about 3/4 of the way in with the part that connects to the motor towards the differential housing. Then, have one person pry the torque arm downward using the differential housing as a pry point, and the other person pound the torque arm laterally with a rubber mallet around the mounting points on the motor. After we figured that out it took about 3 minutes till it was buttoned up. Hope this helps some people in the future. This mod feels fantastic though. Worth every drop of sweat and angry profanity.
