Painted JCW Exhaust?
Ok I have trolled NAM and the inter-webz looking for a picture that I just can't seem to find....has anyone seen JCW exhaust with the inside ring of the can painted black?? My countryman's JCW exhaust gets horribly filthy after a 4 mile trip every time......was thinking of painting the inner ring with high temp, flat black, grill paint, so you wouldn't notice if it was dirty....but can't decide if I would like it or not...more of a visual person
Any help would be appreciated!
**yes I know this picture isn't a countryman but it gets the point across haha**

Some powders will hold some heat. Not sure what the tips heat up to.
The issue with powders is it needs to be cured in an oven @350'F. Obviously not an option once installed. The other option is to apply a ceramic coating...somewhat limited to colors and finishes, blacks, silvers, light texture, smooth. These are actually a wet spray and can be heat cured or air dryed with same results.
Ceramic/Cerakote is an excellent product, we have applied this to hundreds of applications from bike pipes, exhaust manifolds, headers, even fire pit screens and grills. Most will hold a constant 1600-1800'F. ppw4services.com

I just had my Ak DP/VIP DP back put on. Before instillation I had the tips (including front of muffler) powder coated gloss black. It was not mounted so they could bake it. Turned out GREAT! Too bad the loss of a cat increases the soot put out. After a short drive, the gloss part gets covered up! Still fits the look of the Dread Pirate and the sound is an awesome bass (sound when able).
