R59 Post your R59 Roadster pics here.
Will do thanks for the heads up...
By the way, does manual say not to use the sport button for the first 1200 mi.? Be sure and give that new motor a healthy dose of varied rpm(not over revved). From what I've read, that is the best break in. Enjoy

When I got my 2011 JCW from Schaumburg, I had a nice 275 mile trip back to Des Moines. I drove at under 50 mph for the first 65 miles, that wasn't difficult in suburbia Chicago, then varied between 55 and 85 for the rest of the trip. That was Saturday. Then on Sunday we tripped up to Cedar Rapids and back, about 250 miles, and varied on non interstate driving, up and down in speed. Drove my wife nuts.
The way that I broke it in, I think is the reason that I get better mileage than sticker, about 36+ on the highway, and never under 30 mph in city driving.
Also, there is another guy here in Des Moines that has a JCW and maybe I'm prejudiced, but I think that mine feels stronger, especially in the middle gears. Who knows, but breaking them in the old fashioned way, certainly doesn't hurt. Also, get that original oil out of it at about 3,000 miles. Can we say metal filings, and just dirt. My oil filter was filled with weird bad things, yes I did look. Then go to 5,000 mile changes, in my opinion. Treat that special engine right.

Thanks. Yep, that's exactly the reason I went to this from my '11 MCS. With the JCW trim complimenting, from the front it's just drop-dead sexy.
[QUOTE=spiney;3504492]I swore off black cars after my first Cooper S. I'm too lazy to keep a black car clean enough!
I think the attached picture is the only time I ever washed
Hey guys, that's why they invented the, California Duster! My R56 JCW is Black, so that was a first purchase, and it works. I can't tell you when the last time that I washed my Lil Guy. It does need it now after rains this week, though.
When I order my R59, it will be Pepper White in 2014. Can't decide on whether full JCW, or an S with the JCW Package. The base JCW is very pricey, but love the power and Brembo Brakes.

Oh by the way, I'm in the minority in that I really like the way the R59 with the top up. I live in Iowa and top down operation is a bit tough from November thru March, and that's pushing it.
Also, you might notice that all Mini's look awfully high when at the dealers. Well, when Mini's are shipped, the suspension is blocked up so that the shocks/struts won't move. Hence, the height looks and is higher until the dealer takes the blocks out. My dealer told me of Mini owners bringing their cars in that they had purchased else where that the dealer had forgotten to remove these. Interesting! What else did those other dealers miss. Check out your cars guys. Make list and check it all,

I can see that not everyone here will agree with the subtle approach, but maybe some will - I didn't want the stripes to stand out too much, so mine is silver on white silver. Apparently when it was delivered there was an argument in the workshop between those that liked it and those that didn't.
Hey Angib, I kind of like those stripes. We see black stripes all the time, but these look nice. Maybe get a good pin striper and outline the stripes in a red or slightly darker gray/silver. Touch of class.
One of the reasons I love MINIs so much is they stand out in a world of boring cars. So I tend to like them better with colors that pop.
Having said that, good for you for going with something different. Your opinion is the one that matters.
Some matching mirror caps would be sharp and keep that subtle look you are targeting.

Finally got her
It took nine grueling weeks, but I finally got her. I've had her just about a week now, have logged nearly 400 miles on her (almost all with the top down), and am loving every bit of it. Not one thing to complain about. Here are my pictures.
It's a beauty! I have just over a week left until I get mine! I. Can't. Wait.

Now, how about some pictures along the road from Davos to Stelvio?
