To Stripe or not to Stripe?

What is your opinion on racing stripes or just clean?

I went without. I figure it will be easy to add later if desired. I want to live with the shape for a bit to decide...tough choice though. Mini's and Shelby's are two cars that look great in stripes. The Spice Orange/Black combo looks great in the video...thanks for sharing those!

You don't indicate where you are from but I'll bet there is a MINI club nearby. Get hooked up with them and look over all the different variations and then decide based on what appeals to you. Youafying your MINI is what it's all about.

Not recommending one stripe shop over the other, just that these guys are who I'm familiar with, visit Aesthetic Creations website and look over all the different styles of stripes available.

Going with out is nice because you can always have the dealer add them if you change your mind.

You can also have the Dealer pull from Mini Motoring Graphichttp://www.minimotoringgraphics.com/index.php which gives you a bigger selection then what is offered through the configurator

I'm a pro-striper as is evidenced by my signature pic. As soon as the weather warms up a bit I will be adding boot stripes as well. To me a non striped MINI just looks nekked. You're looking for opinions which is a dangerous thing. There are as many of those as there are MINI pilots. It can lead to that dreaded affliction known as 'Paralysis by Analysis' so cast your eye about and observe. Decide what looks good to you from what others have done and then do what you want. Remember, deciding not to decide is a decision too.

Only problem with that John is if your having the dealer install them your getting an outside company or some guy in the back who has "tried" putting stripes on before. Striping from factory build is the only way to go. It's done thousands of times rather than someone who has done it a couple times.

Stripe it, I say! Nice to have the option from the factory and you can remove them easily enough if you decide you don't like them .

I here what you are saying, but I think it depends alot on your dealer. The vinyl guy my dealer uses , does show quality full wraps and stripping on Lambos and Ferraris. I to would be concerned with a Mini dealership that uses JimBob's striping service. There are people that do as good if not better then the factory.

One thing that has been brought up is graphic and strips are a very personnel choice. Mini is a little different then you normal car dealer, the car and experance is about you and if that is not what your receiving look at another dealer. Your lucky you have like 12 dealers you can go to, I have 2 with in 300 miles . Both my dealers support or club and take good care of us current owners and the new one. Once you find a dealer you can work with sit down and present your questions and conserns to them.

Just a suggestion to help with the stress.
