I ordered mine from Sterling. Where are you getting yours?

 

For the West Coast people on the Asian King looks like our arrival date at the VDC has slipped. Originally was due to dock on the 19th but now shows the ship is docking on the 20th and leaving port on the 21st.

For us I am expecting 2/3 days in the VDC, 3/4 days to NW MINI, 4 days dealer prep. So right now likely to not get the vehicle until early November. Killing me as I have had the order in for a long long time. Still think MINI missed the mark with the pre-order cars.

 

I just confirmed that my MINI was "released to carrier" and on its way to Southampton, England to catch a ship.

Does anyone know when the next ship is arriving in Southampton?

 

So glad to seeing you all getting traction on your orders finally. Lets hope for a quick float across the ocean and into your anxious hands soon.

 

Still waiting on a boat

 

Apparently all I needed to do was email my MA asking if, since it was taking forever to go into production anyway, I could make a couple of changes. Because today it finally went into production. FINALLY! 3 weeks of waiting was starting to make my hair fall out.

I'm not holding my breath that I'll have it in time to show it off to relatives on Thanksgiving, but there's a bit of hope that I'll be able to get a good coat of wax on it before the snow is too awful.

 

The Aida on Oct 21, and the Parsifal on Oct 24. I think those are the next two ships. Hopefully a few of you will get loaded onboard soon.
I hope that my coupe will be done in a couple more days and boarding a ship in the near future as well.

 

Yea it would be pushing it by Thanksgiving.. It will be close though.

Mine went into production on 9/6 and was delivered on 10/11

 

Hopefully I can still get it on Thursday. It's the only pic my Dealer sent to me. I have been out of town and just got back.

PS How do I increase the size of these pictures that I insert?

I'm hoping that I can take delivery on Thursday. If not on Thursday I will have to wait until Saturday. I have work responsibilities. (Got to pay for this thing ya know.)

So technically I guess you can't bold it until it's delivered. But I will leave that up to you. It will be one of those two days. (I'll let everyone know of course.) I was going to wait until delivery to update my sig but since my old car, Fulburt is now officially going to be traded in, I might as well do it now.

So your choice when you want to bold. I'll update as far as I can.

Pat, I *love* your wife's car! What character! Those graphics are fantastic. Can't wait to see the MINIs together.

 

She is tickled pink. (No pun intended.) Did you notice the license plate? It's a hoot. We looked for a long time for the graphic on the drivers door. There is a mirror image on the passenger door. Once I found the image it took awhile before I could find someone who took the low image jpeg that I had and could convert it to a high quality image and then enlarge it. It's only the outline of the dog. I had it tweaked and the collar and tie added. We also designed the pink and black stripes as well. It was pretty inexpensive actually. My car looks plain jane compared to hers and I have never been able to find anything that expressed me and could hold a candle to my wife's car. I finally gave up looking. Maybe the Coupe will be different we'll see.

She has over 40K on her car now and just loves it. I'll tell her your comments as she will get a kick out of them. She's not much of a computer person and does not participate much online so I'll let her know what you said.

For Those west coast coupes on the Asian King, the ship is west of the Baja peninsula. About 300-400 mile outside of Port Hueneme. The long wait is going to be ending soon. Cheers.

 

We are on a ship! The Oregon Highway...left the 19th....arrival into Brunswick on the 26th... K- line ship.

GM of dealership informed me that car is on the Oregon Highway with est. time of landing in USA of 10-28-11.

 

My wife's new Coupe is on Florida Highway, which completed an off load in Baltimore yesterday and is enroute to Brunswick, GA, today. With any luck, the car should be in our garage within the next 10 days.

 

I wanna see some good pix of that red car, esp the interior. What's that hole in the right front bumper? Is that the tow hook hole sans the plastic cover?

 

I finally managed to get the roof to look silver! Looking forward to hearing about the bunch that are soon to be delivered. You're going to LOVE your coupe! I've started on my third tank and gas mileage keeps improving....19, 22, 25 mpg.

 

Red really is the only good color right? just kidding everyone.
