Question -- where does one go about finding out what week they were assigned? I'd been in status 112 for over 3 weeks and yet nobody (not my MA or customer care) seemed to have any clue when I was going into production, yet clearly I should have had a production week assigned, correct?

Sorry if this is addressed in a tracking thread somewhere but I don't recall coming across that info.

 

I got on the mini lounge and it shows you where you car is. I followed it all the way to my dealer. ski

 

I was in the same position for a while without a production week assigned. My MA finally told me my production week but my coupe started production a week earlier. I would just keep asking your MA and the sales manager to find out if a production week has been assigned.

 

The web was accurate. I got my coup last week and love it. ski

I got a dealer slot as well. Your MA can look up your production week in the computer system. Mine did it for me in about 10 seconds yesterday. So it should be possible.

Maybe it's that LG production issue?

Mine was a dealer slot as well. I'm not sure if that helped move it along faster or not. Once it starts moving it's a more enjoyable process.

Bob, Thanks. Barber was as a friend there said "a hoot". After driving the midwest tracks, not used to the elevation change and blind corners. Took a couple sessions to get even partially comfortable there.

So has anyone taken delivery of a Coupe that was aboard the Asian King yet?

It's strange that my dealership is only about an hour from the PH VDC and the OL shows my estimated delivery date as 10/27. You are all the way out in Utah and yours is showing 10/23.

So far, I haven't heard a peep from my MA about our Coupe. I was really hoping that we could pick it up today or tomorrow. With my luck, it was probably slightly damaged in shipment just like our last MINI was.

My coupe was on the Asian King and I got her yesterday. She got there Saturday, but they had her an extra day cause of the motortober event.

 

Were other people sitting in your car during the event and/or driving it? o_O

 

no no no no no..... purely for looks. I am not even sure if they put her out. They said they wanted to put her on the showroom floor but I am not sure if they did. No one touched her for sure.

 

Bad news, just got off the phone with my MA and he talked to the trucking company... They won't be dropping it at the dealer until Thursday or Friday. Seems as though the OL got my hopes up for nothing...... gotta stop looking at the freakin' OL. He said we will probably be on track for a Halloween delivery. No motoring for me this weekend. Well, I guess a Halloween delivery is fitting seeing as how the Coupe is named Jack S (as in Skellington from Nightmare before Christmas). Man, was looking forward to driving to the UofU football game on Saturday. Bummed.

As you know mine was on the Asian King. I checked the W&W site with the chassis number and it shows offloaded on 10/21. Nothing after that. I have gauges to fit so it may take a little longer. MA gave me strange code. Might have been damaged. But I am with you Maven... WTH is my Coupe?

 

I finally confirmed my Coupe caught the "K" Line ship CALIFORNIA HIGHWAY and is due in port on 11/2. It's looking like a possible delivery date of 11/11/11.

 

Great to hear that James! Not a long wait at all.

My MA advised even though there were only a couple options being installed at the VDC that this normally slows down the delivery in his experience between 3-5 days. They will be installing the CF JCW dash and Strut bar on ours. We are still slated for a 10/30 arrival at the dealership and still expecting a four day turn around once here as they have a boat load of work to do on our car.

 

For those on the Oregon Highway...she is tied up in Baltimore..next stop is Brunswick on the 27th!
