On the site, I'm "On order." On the phone, I'm scheduled for production with no confirmed date. I don't like either one, lol.

You don't even need the winky-face there though, I'm suspecting my color choice going to be the death of me. Never mind that I'm paying enough for it that you would think it would be an incentive to git'r'dun already

I was under the impression that laguna green was not available on U.S. destined Coupes until November 2011 production (with availability ending in February 2012 production). Therefore, I wouldn't be at all surprised if you still have two or three more weeks to wait before your laguna green Coupe is production complete.

I had heard that as old information but didn't know if it was still the case as they have been shipping Lagunas in hardtop varieties. Just another thing to add to my list to confirm with my dealer. I'll certainly update if I can get a definite on this.

waiting sucks but if they only going make LG cars for a couple of months they will be ultra-rare.

The MINI Coupe brochure just states "Available Fall 2011.".

My boat has docked! Hopefully my car makes it through the VDC quickly like everyone's so far has. *fingers crossed* Hopefully I'm driving by this time next week!

Per my MA, he had not heard anything about a November date and had not seen any kind of bulletin about a November date. As far as he's concerned he's expecting it to go into production very shortly, as the orders from a couple of days before mine have just moved into production status. So if he's wrong on that and I keep hanging next week, we'll know for sure!

Totally a bonus for me. Funny thing is, it was the availability of LG that was the tipping point for me to order now vs. next year. I had a 2004 Mazda that was close to this color and I missed it terribly. Call it Barbie Doll syndrome, I had to have the one that came with the green outfit.

Well, this official MINI ordering and pricing document (effective July 13, 2011) clearly states Laguna Green metallic (option # B46) has a SOP (Start Of Production) of 11/11 and an EOP (End Of Production) of 02/12 (see page #2):

MINI Coupe Pricing and Specifications Guide

BTW, the document also lists the correct $1,000 upcharge price for laguna green as well (unlike the MINI USA Configurator which wrongly shows it at only a $500 upcharge).

I know what you mean... VW made a 2.0 Liter, 16 Valve, Golf GTI back in the early 90's that had a very similar color (along with some awesome Recaro seats!). I loved it.

Mine must be done, too, then. How did you find that out?

Just call ASK MINI and talk to a real person. It is the best way to get most up to date information during production other than your MA...

There are only so many outlets to get information.

ASK MINI automated line
Owners lounge
ASK MINI real person
Motoring Advisor

NOOOO, they push the arrival date of the Asian King back to the 20th. I knew they spent too long getting through the Panama Canal. That is one more day to wait and one less day of motoring before winter weather hits..... just not right.... /breakdown

Well, that's a bummer...

I guess I'm okay with it though since I'm going to be out of town from the 21st to the 23rd and so I couldn't pick up my Coupe until Monday the 24th anyway. My dealer is only about an hour's drive away from the VDC so the MINIs usually show up there within a day or two after being offloaded from the ship (assuming no backlog at the VDC and no shipping damage like happened to our last MINI). That puts me in a good position to get our new Coupe on the 24th.

Unfortunately for me, that one day delay could result in an actual week long delay. With the 20th being on a Thursday, I would imagine the VDC won't even begin the processing until 22nd (assuming they work that weekend, otherwise not until the 24th), then minimum 2 days in VDC, minimum 2 days on a truck to Utah, minimum 2 days at dealer. That puts a realistic deliver time to the first few days of NOVEMBER (NOOOOOOOO) that is almost three more frigging weeks. Best case scenario would be, boat makes up time, get in on the 19th, VDC starts to process on the 20th (they work the weekend) and my coupe gets on a truck by the 24th and I get to drive it home on the 29th. Dam those siestas in Panama......

Owners lounge says "scheduled for production"
Dealer sends me a copy of "Vehicle Inquiry Report" that says under order status --"150-Production started."

Woo Hoo!

I really hope to someday get a Laguna Green car next to my 67 Austin Cooper S in Almond Green and see if it is close!

I started production on the 10th. Just a few more days to finish. Anyone know what ships will be sailing next week or two around the 20th from Southampton to Baltimore?

Count 10 days from today and your car should be finished. My dealer emailed me the morning it went into Status 150. Took 10 days from that date.

Mine was delivered to the VDC on Thursday October 6th. I got my car delivered to me on October 11th the following Tuesday at 2pm and I live in TX. Delivered to Brunswick, GA VDC. Have faith.. they are pretty fast

Mine has arrived, but I'm not around...

My JCW coupe has arrived at my dealer, but I'm at BMWCCA Oktoberfest. My MA emailed me this pic.

I don't feel sorry for him, he's at Barber, was on the track Wednesday I think. Will be interesting to hear what he thinks of it.
