I have been lurking around this board for many months trying to satisfy my MINI craving. Last week my most wonderful husband surprised me by bringing Miss Blue Belle home from Mini of Dallas. She's absolutely beautiful!!!!! I'm attaching a pic so you guys can see.

mommashine --- As the "Queen of Oxygen Blue Accessorization" do you know if the new blue Ipod Nano is close to being Oxy Blue? My monitor makes it look that way. Also, do you know where I might be able to get a kids Oxy Blue Mini t-shirt? My kids love your Mini with eyes and would really like that (or the owner's club badge) on a shirt.

hrmm... well... i haven't been able to find any mini merchandise yet that has oxy blue on it... i find all my oxy blue stuff at wallyworld and truck stops... it is stuff that simply matches... you can check out our 'Vendor Directory' though... there are a few that do custom shirts, maybe they could help with that... COOPERation is the one that designed my cartoon car... you can always just save mine on to ur computer and take it to a shop somewhere too... if you can find a good place to do it, lemme know and I'll order one too... maybe we can get a discount if we do a bulk thing... check back closer to the beginning of this thread and you will see the things i've come across to match... i think the finger nail polish is my fav... :-D

 

We are gonna be coming to Houston in the coming months to visit a friend of mine from high school... we should totally get some oxy blues together for dinner or something...

 

oh about the ipod nano... it is a closer match i believe to the Electric Blue mini color....

just fyi, your cd player is also an mp3 disc player... convert all your cd's to mp3 discs... much much easier... i bought 3 visor 10 cd holders (one for each and they all match my interior) and those hold every cd i've ever owned... only prob is figuring out what i wanna listen to 'cause now there are too many options...

 

 

i should figure out what all i want to say and just make one post... lol..

gokart: any word on the touch up yet? my sa still says a few more months... still can't find it online... some a55hat skidded a shopping buggy into Gemini's side yesterday and she needs some work... :-( as will the shopper that did it if i ever figure out who it was... :angry:

On a sad note, some mischief-makers around here have seen fit to clad my lovely OB MINI, via Photoshop, in furry leopard print. Long story. Sad, sad, sad. Kinda funny, too.

Can you email me or post just the "eyeball mini" pic? Does COOPERation still make custom caricatures? I would really like to see one with a white roof. My plan is to make a custom shirt using zazzle.com. I've never used them, but I thought it might be worth a try.

Let me know when you think you might be coming to Texas. I'm actually in the Waco area, but would love an excuse to visit Galveston via Houston. Blue Belle would love to cavort with others of her kind.

 

Okay, here's my quickie design for a Mini shirt. Please tell me if you guys think that this is a dumb idea. Suggestions are welcome, of course. The shirt would be for my 5 year old son.

Me, too....except it is me!! In any case, this is far more complicated than it appears. Ultimately it has to do with clandestine operation leading to the procurement of a certain fabulous-looking classic Mini. Lots of intrigue!!

I found a strange accessory this weekend. My husband and I took our kids to a model train show Saturday. At the show there was an Amtrak representative who was giving out "Junior Conductor" paper hats. I took one for each of my kids. As I was folding my daughter's hat I realized that it was Oxygen Blue. She wore her "Blue Belle train hat" all day....

 

omg thats priceless... you should figure out a way to attach one to one of the headrests or something...

 

here's some fun for ya! i had a lady check in to my hotel today named Minnie Cooper... i don't think it could get any more awesome... well... if she actually drove one, i think that would be rockin... maybe i'll change my name... lol...

 

The shirt is great!! It almost makes me wish I had a kid to wear it. Since I don't, though, has anyone tried to make just a basic shirt with an Oxygen Blue Mini...I'd certainly order one!

 

Checked at Moritz...they're still waiting. To be honest, I'm not surprised...I had lots of trouble finding Indi Blue paint for my first MINI, and the paint I bought from another vendor that was supposed to match perfectly....didn't.

btw, I am still the only OB MINI in Arlington....and maybe the entire mid-cities!!!
