So....how are the soon-to-be OB owner holding up? Losing sleep? Seeing swatches of OB everywhere? Quivering w/ excitement? Unable to put two coherent thoughts together? Seriously considering calling your MA every 10 minutes?? Planning pre-delivery visits w/ your MINI?? Hmmmm????

No news either means they got their new toys and are busy out and about motoring,...or they have all had strokes and are in the hospital. Both possibly.

. . .or O2 Blue has been discontinued (kinda like solar red) and now Mr Kart has a real keeper . . . it could happen.

Wonder which one will be offered longer? OB or NFR?

Still Alive, Almost Here

No fear, I am here. Last update from MINI of Dallas was the car wasn't here yet (1 hr ago). Best case scenario was to pick her up tomorrow, but Monday may have to do.

But, my news is my Garmin 360 (what a cool toy); my Pep Boys air compressor and Slime puncture repair kit; and my Prima order for the Road Trip have all arrived.

Tint will go on Sky Blue before I pick her up. I am ready

Forgot to mention, I just went on miniusa.com. OB and NFR are still offered. My bet is on them being dropped very soon. Just an intuition give all the other great colors that were here today, gone tomorrow...Silk Green, Velvet Red, Purple Haze.

In fact, an 03 Silk Green CVT with 40,000 miles and a MINI extended warranty was for sale up at Northwest MINI last week for............$21,500! Cleanest Silk Green I've ever seen, but what a price Maybe our OBs will someday be in that realm.

Yeah, I was kinda glad I could go ahead and nab an OB in '07 rather than waiting for '08 as I'd initially planned. I'd sure have hated to miss out, especially after all my bi*chin' about Electric Blue not being offered here for Coopers.

I've had my OB cooper about 4 weeks now. This is my 1st cooper and am loving every second of it. I get compliments about this color from everyone, it is so unique. So I guess it is about time I posted some pics. The pics are in my gallery.

Dan, BEAUTIFUL Do you have any pics of your interior to post? I am fascinated by all of the interior color combos, and how people come up with the configuration ideas.

Sorry but I haven't taken any interior pics. My interior is the black checkered cloth with piano black trim. A combo you see quite a bit here. When I first saw the checkered cloth I was a little underwhelmed by the look but since owning I am very happy with it. I also find the piano black very easy to care for, just a quick wipe with 303 makes it look new again. Like you I love all the different interior combos, the wood dash looks great but I have yet to see one in person, I also love the brushed aluminum also.

What great cars these are. You have these great color choices and you build them with just about any interior look you desire. They are a blast to drive and to top it off you get great mpg.

Agreed, and I might add that OB is such a classic color that one has even more range than some other colors...you can dress it up with Paino Black or stay w/ cheeky silver or even checkers!! I'm not sure you could do that as easily w/ Sparling Silver (or even our sib NFR) which almost demands to be classed/dressed-up...same w/ Mellow Yellow on the other estreme, tough to take it into more serious-looking territory!!

mommashine...I hereby proclaim you queen of Oxygen Blue accessorization!!!

Showed the Wife unit the pics mommashine and she says, "Who you kidding? If you could get away with it, you would be painting yer toenails NFR!".

Even though I would never do it, I was hard pressed to argue with her.

You could do a lot with the interior of NFR, if Mini would allow it. For some stupid reason NFR owners are highly descriminated against when it comes to interior color choices.

OB is definitely a flexible color. Anything remotely close to sky blue is always flexible simply due to how many colors we get to see daily when the skies are blue. When the skies are blue. Someone remind me,..are they really blue? Cause right now I have no farking clue what color they are without RAIN IN EM!!!! ARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!

I have heard ancient stores that seem to state it is so...and that a fiery orb is placed in the sky to warm the earth. Fact, or myth?....I dunno, maybe we'll find out one of these days!!!!!

hint for those not in D/FW: it's been raining every day for months!!!

As I peered outside this morning, something was wrong! Dark images grew forth from where I stood. Then I noticed they were everywhere! Haunting images splayed on the ground like dark demons crawling from the bowels of hell!

The one chased me as I moved. Followed me around the yard, the driveway. It was huge! I feared for my very soul! The yellow orb in the sky hung there mocking me as if to say it could not banish those demons. No, quite the opposite! I beleive now the yellow orb is working with the dark lord to summon forth those demons!

They are coming for me! My only escape is to retreat into my home where both have no power over me! ARRRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHH!!!

Yeah, that's your shadow!! See folks, this is what happens when to perfectly rational people.....yes, and even to Skuzzy....when they are deprived of sun for months at a time!!! Ain't pretty is it!?!?! Someone in some other part of the country needs to step up and volunteer to take this pesky rain off our hands!! I hear there may be a few takers!!

Well heck,..it is Sunday. I figure something with some religious overtones was in order.

Pssst. The rain came and washed away those dark demons. I AM FREE!!!! Well,..uh,..maybe not free,..but awfully darn cheap!
