R56 Official Oxygen Blue Owners Club
Agreed, and I might add that OB is such a classic color that one has even more range than some other colors...you can dress it up with Paino Black or stay w/ cheeky silver or even checkers!! I'm not sure you could do that as easily w/ Sparling Silver (or even our sib NFR) which almost demands to be classed/dressed-up...same w/ Mellow Yellow on the other estreme, tough to take it into more serious-looking territory!!
Sure, sure, I still secretly wish I could have picked up an O2B MC, but now that I have "Kassy", I'm happier than a pig in excrement! Checkers and MY go great together:

I'm waiting on the checkered door handles and the checkered rear mirror to come in at the dealer. Once those are on, watch out! I'm also considering swapping out my Piano Black accents for the chekered ones as well to complete the package. Oh well, that's what I get for not ordering one exactly the way I want it from the factory. I won't make that mistake again in 3 years.
I'm sorry, but Mellow Yellow just reeks with fun...it's terminally cheery in a way Sparkling Silver will never be!!! Of course, both are cool.
My opinion.....
BTW...Kassy looks amazing!!! The checkers just make things pop!!!!

I only wish O2B was offered in an MCS for '07. I would have ordered one from the factory and waited.
Well, I take artistic liberties. we were all in the same room for five years and the school wagon was pulled by dinosaurs and had wheels of wood.
Well, now that you've been steamed, let's get ya dipped and then ya should be good to meet the public.
Okay, this is a call out for jedorme and Blue Skies.........got MINI?!?!?!?!
btw, the blokes at MotoringFile were at MINI United and apparently were talking to many of the MINI designers...one said that Oxygen Blue was inspired by the Gulf Porsche color schemes of the 1970’s (although OB looks better)!! Cool news....maybe mommashine can add some orange touches to her fab OB accessories?!?!?!

Pick Up at 5 pm for Blue Skies!!
I am anxiously sitting on pins and needles for my........... 5 pm pick up at MINI of Dallas. She is getting all spiffed up and getting her windows tinted (roof included). It's 2:06 here in Euless.
Pictures will be uploaded in a couple days as ROAD TRIP starts tomorrow morning.
Will post later
orange? well i have a little bit of it already... my back seat has a rainbow (not color consecutive) striped afghan blankie over the back seats and there is some orange in it... i never really went for the blue/orange thing... not by themselves anyway... rainbow goes very well w/ the o2b though...
Blue Skies is Hooked Up!
Well, I can't wipe the cheesy grin off my face. I just took delivery of the little beauty from MINI of Dallas. She whizzed down evening traffic on 635, George Bush Turnpike, and 183 in fine form. I have lots of pics, but no way to upload yet.
All I can say is........WOWOWOWOWWWWWWWWWWWWHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOAAAA AAAAAA.
OB rules. I don't think I have ever seen such a beautiful color and the interior is beyond my expectations.
Not to mention the ride. Hit Sport Mode a few times....hold on tight. Haven't got to the sport paddles yet.
OK, time to motor.
Gokart, we'll meet at Estella's towards the end of July. I'll be reporting on the road!!
and? u try finding flat o2b... lol... in polish neways... it's very fine grade glitter so from a distance it doesn't even show up... nebody that gets close enuff to my toes to tell it's got glitter will prolly get kicked neways....
I don't think I could have said it any better myself!!!
An accurate summation...all the more eloquent in its brevity!!
