jedorme....dang that interior looks fine!!! I love how the piano black door trim (that goes w/ English Oak) gives some classy definition to the door treatment. Overall just stunning...that brighter, warm yet classy cabin goes very will with a cheery color like Oxygen Blue. My interior is more subdued...a very different vibe. Nice to see the range of options that work w/ OB!!

And....welcome to newoxyblue and TerinUpMINI. Yes, the wait is a killer...and delivery seems a bit surreal after the waiting drama...but the motoring is so, so fine!! Really, I think the whole thing is still sinking in w/ me.

gokartride - I agree that with the lighter leather but sharper contrasts you get with the Piano Black & English Oak, it results in a very different look but one that works really well with the fun OB exterior. Sounds like yours is more on the toned down elegance side but then you can also make it very sporty if you want. The Mini folks have definitely provided some very real choices for the owners and the results are some very different and great looking cars.

Today I put on the first coat of wax on the OB paint and I was blown away by how easy it applied and how it brought out an even deeper color in the car. I haven't had the time to study all of the detailing comments so I just used my old trusty Meguiars stand by and the result was spectacular. A number of guys came up to where I was working in our RV park and asked what kind of wax I was using. But I do have to say that waxing around all of that black rubber and plastic trim is a BEAR.

I'm loving this color unfortunately it's on youz guyzes MINIs. Anyone considering some classic Ford GT orange touches? Maybe racing stripes? Would have to play around with some orange/ob combos. Hope it's around for the '09 50th Anniversary when I'll be treating myself to a graduation gift.

I'm so jealous! I talked to my MA and he said we're looking at the first full week of August.

TerinUpMini, I do like those white wheels I couldn't visualize them on the OB, but it sure does work.

I love my Tawanda more and more everyday. My sister and I just got back from a day trip to Charleston, SC. It's hard not to go 90 mph on the interstates. The speed creeps up, the car keeps on pulling smoothly, and voila! This little car is an amazing road trip car. She is so agile and responsive that it's pretty impossible to get road weary. I have no problems pulling around semis on uphills to get out of their way...in automatic.

I've had her only two weeks and she already has 2300 miles The mpg keeps going up. This past tank, to include the 250 round trip to and from from Charleston, got 37 mpg I wasn't babying her at all. Lotsa manual sport mode on the back roads around Columbia, SC. FUN, FUN, FUN.

I've been accesorizing...hard to resist.

Whoo hoo!!!

My OB baby will be born in two days!

I know there are some Texas people in this thread - any of you know which VDC our little cars pass through? (Trying to calculate the exact moment she'll arrive!)

Our cars go through Charleston, SC. I drove by the Port of Charleston signs this am. Mine arrived 17 Jun in Charleston, and was at MINI of Dallas on 2 July.

New (almost!) Oxygen Blue owner

Hi everyone,

I am now waiting to join your ranks as a Oxygen Blue owner and enjoy this gorgeous color in my life! I'm so excited I can't sleep, and the car isn't even in production yet. But I felt confident about my design and order based upon all of your postings, which I really appreciate. Thanks much!

Hi Miffy....oh yes, your Cooper sounds like it will be awesome!! You do know that waiting for a MINI is notoriously maddening, right? Prepare for a bumpy ride...if you need support your OB comrades are here to help!!!

Well i did get the sport stripes which are put on at the dealer and they didn't have them in yet so i said i couldn't image my MINI sittin at the dealer until sometime this week. So they said i could take it while i wait for the stripes to come in!!! The white wheel are a pain though all that darn break dust is killing me!!!! Guess i will just have to try and put tons of that wheel wax stuff on that i read in some other posts.

Other than that I LOVE MY OB MINI..... i have to say i was kindda scared cuz i never seen one in person before i saw mine BUT i love it and all my friends love it as well. My brother made fun of it and said all my friends just say that cuz they don't want to hurt my feelings haha silly brother he's just jelous!

Good call!!! That'd be torture having your MINI arrive and then just sit there. I did the exact same thing with my MINI's clear bra install.

Theoretically the pads make more dust right at first, but yes, brake dust will be an ongoing challenge. I used an acrylic finish (Klasse) on mine and it made cleaning them easier, although since this is my second MINI I'm completely trained in cleaning my wheels often. It's relaxing in a way...and the results are worth it.

As they should. Although it looks very up-to-date, OB is actually very similar to many classic Mini paint schemes as well as those of other cars, too. So wear your OB proudly!!!

Love it! Mine is at the port waiting to come across the pond, but I also got the white roof, mirrors, wheels and stripes, and i love it! I get so excited to see pictures of everyone's OB MINI's on here.

Do you have a spoiler on the back? I can't tell from the pics and I'm starting to get nervous about mine. The spoiler is pretty mini though and thats why i can't tell if you have one or not.

My MINI is now going to take a total of 10 weeks to get in :( not very happy about that but I know that it will soon be here in 3 long (i mean short) weeks!

Did you order a spoiler?? In my opinion a MINI looks good with or without.

I did not realize that OB was not offered on the Cooper cabrio like most all of the other new colors are, including Nightfire Red. That'll make Oxygen Blue even more rare!!

I did order the spoiler. I agree, I think they look good with or without...like I said its so small anyway, it doesn't matter because it doesn't take away from the beautiful MINI itself
