Hi All! Glad to see an OB owner's club.

Mine is now in the paint shop, and should be completed today.

Can't wait to see it in person, so thanks for all the pics to remind me what I'm waiting for!

 

Very cool!!! Still not sure how long OB will be stayin' around, so I'm glad you got one. I checked yesterday...my local dealer has sold only five OBs!!

 

My OB has arrived at the dealer and will be ready for pick-up on Saturday morning--I can't wait. I ordered the color without having seen it with my own eyes, as so many others have done, but last week had quick glimpses of two different OBs on the road in Washington, DC. Breathtaking! Stunning! I feel so fortunate that I'll have one, too, thanks at least in part to all the commentary I read on this list before taking the plunge. Thank you!

 

I did a drive by at lunch, MY OB IS ON THE LOT!

I was so excited I was shaking, Still not PDI'd or anything, BUT IT IS THERE!!!

I cannot believe it is there and here I am at work.....

Beautiful little MINI you have waiting for you on the lot! I get compliments on mine every single day Other than the shared snaps on NAM, I've seen one OB on the Northwest MINI lot, none on the road. My daughter spied one up in Seattle last month, and sent me an OB sighting with her camera phone in Columbus, SC. Also, I saw one in the Central Market parking lot in Fort Worth in July. RARE BIRDS.

The OBs also detail up beautifully. I spent time with her yesterday, and her skin is like silk

Your Mini is a real beauty! Congratulations! Mine is with white as well but sans bonnet stripes. I will pick it up in only 16 hours!! I'll try to post photos too if I can figure it out.

Glad to hear you'll be meeting your Mini around the same time I'm meeting mine.

I just got a call from my MA too, but the news is not so good: although they installed the matching leather steering wheel I ordered, the matching e-brake (and probably also shifter) parts didn't arrive in time to be installed before my pickup tomorrow. So I will have to go to the dealer some other day to have them installed later. What a pain! I had purposely tried to avoid this situation by having my MA confirm last week that the parts were in. He said yes, but well, you never know...

I am happy for you guys. Mine was suppose to be here on Aug 17th, I called my saleperson today he said the train was late, it will probably here sometimes next week :( I already waited one month, I guess another week is okay, ha-ha!

At least your MINI has arrived, mine is still on rail somewhere between Alberta and British Columbia :( Please send us pictures of the matching leather steering steering wheel and matching e-brake when you got them.

how right you are that I will not be sleeping tonite! have to make sure i have everything ready for the pick up..what should I wear? I mean I HAVE to make a good impression on my baby!

I am pleased to report to the OB Owners Club that there is one more proud member in your ranks. My Mini arrived and was delivered safe and sound this morning. Still missing an ordered dealer-installed option (matching leather shifter and ****, to go with steering wheel and e-brake) but resplendent nonetheless. And fun to ride! The skies are blue and clear today here in DC and the Mini is just radiant!

I'm a happy new owner of an OB and so glad to find this place and see all the beautiful sisters and brothers of my Dol Baby. Have photos in gallery, but don't know how to post them here. Any suggestions??

Wow Miffy, that interior is splendid. I love the ext. color, the int, and the wheel in particular. Enjoy it!

 

So glad to see more OBs showing up!! Although the same color, I don't think any two are exactly alike, which is very cool!!

 

Pleased to report a succesful first day of motoring!! Saw another mini on the road, I waved and they enthusiastically waved back!! WOO HOOOOOO
However, I see I really need to get some mudflaps on, my little stretch of country roads, and the back is completely dusted..~sigh~
must mosey on over to the detailing forum!! :-)

Gaucho arrived Friday (a week early!) and I picked him up Saturday morning. No pictures yet...I've been too busy driving him all over the metroplex!

At the dealer he was in the shade at first, and the OB looked paler than I thought it would. But then an hour later I sat outside at Starbucks (no coffee in the car, yet!) and he looked GORGEOUS out in the sunshine. So far I've gotten my first random stranger compliment, and my friend cracked up laughing at lunch yesterday when two little girls ran over to him and started peeking in the windows.

Lots of miles on him so far as I baby him through the break-in period...his performance has already gotten better in a day, and he's averaging 34 mpg with a mixture of highway/city driving. This morning I opened the sunroof, cranked the stereo, and just drove...pure bliss.

I'm in love! Love love love!

Love your enthusiasm You will most likely receive many compliments on Gaucho. OB is so unique and elusive in the wild.
