Well, in a glass half full way, I think all the gentleman NFR owners are still around. I don't know about minimobile?

Actually, I went back to the beginning of this thread and there are several NFR folks who posted they had ordered and then they disappeared.

Maybe they saw what the color was doing to us and changed their order?

Run on sentences and lint ***** and cup holders and members missing in action has initiated those same parallel thought processes that us hosers (losers = USA) tend to dwell on although I always consider myself undesirable to the members of the female race others would agree to disincline stating that I have a rather uncanny ability to attract and retain those same female members who ran away from me screaming in high school because I seemed through all those experiences to have developed a pseudo-psychological ability to entrace those same females into a state of oblivion to their atmospheric surrounds........

...Was that a run on sentence? I lost track of time in that myriad mass of thought processes that contains my daily thoughts....(oh oh, doing it again!)....

I need a cookie! Mmmm...that's better!

Mmm, I just had several Newman's Own Organic Chocolate Sandwich cookies.

My wife is a smart cookie, but occasionally does odd things with the cookies.

I have one piece left at home for desert tonight. I think I will toss a couple of sirloin burgers on the grill. Oh,..durn it! I dun went and drooled myself!

Surfblue says: Man, you must have a very easy going life if THIS is an issue. How about you show her the current list of DEAD SOLDIERS from the Iraq mess, (14+ dead since 6/1 and going up fast) and then say, "And by the way, our new Mini will be a few weeks late." Sheesh. Go have a beer and enjoy life.

What is your advice to motor myself out of this despression. More importantly, my wife is having a terrible week (month/year) at work. How should I break the news to her when this is something she is so excited about.

Thanks so much![/quote]

HA! Well, I hope this guy hasn't read our recent posts or he'd really have something to say about our worth.

My wife says she hates everyone. That people suck. Well, I am a glass 90% full kinda guy, and experiences like NAM show me most people are very cool, some I just don't jive with and we will choose not to interact, and then there's a few who just don't have a clue. I won't merit this with any further rant, but I feel no guilt in a little not-so-mindless diversion.

The following is exactly how to react the wrong way when the baseless nonsense should be ignored, but doesn't this sound like similar whining, just with a little less tongue in cheek desperation....

\Begin Surfblue says:
I gotta say I've been trying to just suck it up on this messup, but today when I get my VIN (this is a reorder...I should be DRIVING my car in a week or so if it wasn't for this screwup) I'm told that I'll probably see my car LATE APRIL. I put down a deposit long ago, and was ordered in the singledigits of the first owner spec'd 07's at the dealership. I've done some serious waiting on cars in the past, but nothing was screwed up. I'm not happy. I told them so. This has honestly taken some of the JOY out of this deal.\End Surfblue says

OK, now we return to how careless diversions with blinders happily on!

Just to let you guys know, at least one of us female NFR owners is around. I get so fascinated at how you can talk endlessly about almost nothing that I don't have time to write myself!!! (No slam intended....y'all are hilarious!) I'm still looking for the right place to take pictures of Chessie....then you'll see cinnamon and whipped cream with chocolate chips on the side. Oh, and Skuzzy, I'd love to have a patch; I'd even pay good money for it...who knows, you might become a millionaire producing NFR patches....one more thing...I don't know all the acronyms....what is ROFL?

It is like the 7th level of Buddhist bliss to empty your mind and be free of thought and stop your inner voice from its endless babble, but to continue on and be able to speak of so little

I should have some fun pictures this weekend. Big party for my mother in-laws birthday, and I have the distinct feeling all the cousins are going to clown car into Mia. I think we will have had enough GTs (that's gin and tonic for twings) that I will not care...but everyone needs to take their shoes off first . Several of them are so OCD I think Mia will probably get a free head to toe detailing!

Too much cofee again for Lynnel I meant to ask, but didn't want to hijack another thread-what's been going on with Mystic? Sounds like you're having some frustration-I was offline last week when problems began to mount?

No, no problems. I just spend too much time here and am becoming increasingly irritated by MINI's lack of customer concern and MINI owners' willingness to excuse it. BTW, Skuzzy and I have been bantering for a while, so he knows I mean "numbskull" in the nicest way. But, thank you for your concern!

Pardon me while I remove the egg from my face. Sorry Twings.

Hehe,..well that is what I get for not having my first cup of coffee before unleashing the fingers of typography onto the unsuspecting masses.

Yeah rooandren, LynnEl and I have been bantering back and forth since we first entered NAM.

So LynnEl, what Mini lack of concern are you referring to? I am pretty picky myself, but I really have not had any issue with Romi at all. I do have some questions I am going to the dealership to get addressed.

Like, my "ASC Off" button does not appear to work, but the manual is not clear as to how many times it needs to be pressed. It does say multiple times. But the manual also indicates that ASC is optional. So I am a bit confused there. I do not have DSC, which is supposed to encompass ASC also.

Also, my passenger rear wheel well liner is popped loose from the fender edge. I do not call these problems per se. They only become problems if they are not addressed by Mini.

NAM, to me, is not a good indicator of Mini service or quality. I see occasional trolls which are flat out lieing or misrepresenting the truth in order to get a pissing match going. I dunt(tm) call em on it as it would just start a flame war. Plus it is an insignificant percentage of actual owners who are active here.
