R56 The Official Nightfire Red Owners Club
Carjoy, that pic of your MINI with the New York New York backdrop is gorgeous! Such a moving color! Pictures like that sway me more towards the NFR camp. Two months ago when I first put my deposit down I was sure I was getting the NFR Clubman (I still have prob 3 months more wait). All that time has me second guessing my decision and has me wondering about the whole S thing (hard not to feel the S bias on these boards...). Hearing that you held your own helps and seeing another picture of the NFR...wow it is simply beautiful.
I would deffenetely not go to dealer for tires. My MA even told me never buy tires from the dealer. You can get allot of advice on what type of tires (performance/comfort etc.) you are looking for in the tires and wheels forum. If you are comfortable ordering online you could check out tire rack but allot of tire places will match the price of tire rack. Just make sure if they mount the tires they torque them to the correct torque setting. (103 ft lbs.) Allot of the tire places use the torque settings for the R50/R53, which was lower.
When you have the tires done at a good third party tire place, be sure to also let them know the wheels are NOT forged aluminum. They are gravity cast.
The difference being, if they do damage a wheel in the process of replacing a tire, they cannot say they did not know the wheels were not forged. Some tire places will not touch cast aluminum wheels.

Felt like being stuck in a revolving door. My shorts finally got caught on the door handle, ripping the pocket off, but also expelling me out of the mobius loop I was stuck in.
DUNT(TM) DO THAT AGAIN!!!!!
I do! I always smile when looking at Romi. She is teh seckksie!!! WOOT!
Man, I cannot get the "multi-quote" to work for some reason. Makes it a biotch to respond to multiple folks without creating multiple posts.
Gotta love and hate that feeling you get the last few hours before taking delivery of your new baby.

Wowza, howdy Skuz and Twings! Several of us have been slacking I guess.
Congrats to the newbies, hope everyone is motoring already wiht weather as great as here today.
Question--does anybody else feel the standard headlights are just not that bright? I rarely do highway driving at night, and maybe it's just my night vision, but I was driving a couple hundred miles on until highway the other day and it was bad.

jokell, WOW! Absolutely beautiful. In every photo I see the NFR color looks so different (but always stunning). That chameleon-like color changing is one of the reasons I love the NFR so much. UGH, seeing all the beautiful cars makes me wish the clock would do double time until October....waiting sucks.
Well Inara has to go back to the dealer soon (just waiting on a call to schedule the appointment). Something leaked from the windshield washers and stained the bonnet stripes. They're going to have to replace them.
