Took some more photos of Inara tonight. She had her first real detailing. I wanted her clean for when she goes in for service on Thursday (replacing the bonnet stripes).

Same ones. They were stained by something leaking from the windshield washers. Going in tomorrow for replacement.

 

Looking sharp! I'll pass on a tip I've heard here before--your dealer may do you the favor of washing your car after service--but if you've done a fancy detail job, you may want to request that they not give your car a streak-inducing bath.

 

Thanks to all for your advice. I finally bit the bullet and Nigel was ordered on Tuesday. Now I just have to wait until I get assigned a production date in the owner's lounge! My MA said I should expect delivery in early October!

Not all these things are showing up in the build on the owner's lounge, but I have heard that that is normal. The emailed order that the MA sent me includes everything I wanted, so I assume the online system is just lagging.


Now, I just have to wait!

Congratulations! She's a beauty. That is nice that you don't have a long (relatively) wait. Definitely post pics when s/he arrives. I can't get enough of the NFR Coopers!

ps What are extended decor rings? Are these on the door? I don't recall these being an option on the Clubman...

This is the answer I got from my MA:

"Extended decor rings are no charge but carry over the black trim onto the door. Basically, it is stating an item that cannot be changed and only comes on the basic Cooper."

 

Alright I probably need my own support group for those who have trouble overthinking everything and vacillating on decisions. I'm sorry that I won't be joining your club after all. Today the order was changed to DS. I will frequent the NFR club however just to have the opportunity for see some beautiful rides.

 

Still be pretty, just not ultra-sekksie.

The database is located in a secret cave in Canada. Shielded by many empty cases of Carlsberg beer. There days the locals swear they can hear a scream which can only be equated to moose love, emanating from the cave. No one goes near for fear of being pulled into the pit of desire!

I just noticed there's two Roo/Rieux's now.

So who else has interior rattles? I s'ppose that's better than engine rattles, but pretty annoying; the panel underneath the steering column, and somewhere around the Flavor-Flav display.

And I really need to start a clown-car thread on what can fit in a MINI. I was flabbergasted to find that I could get a good-sized elliptical machine in there!

 

No rattles here,...except for the old bones. Occasional squeals from tehe Wife unit when I excitedly take a corner in a vigorous manner. That little handle above the passenger door sure is a sturdy thing.
