Dealer specific or not, I'm not gonna get too excited about not getting a 512 Flash Drive. I already have all the PDFs for the manuals on my Iphone.

In Australia we still get a (very nice) hardcopy manual. The only addition I have on my iPhone is the table of fuse locations from NAM. Much more useful - often one of the first things to check if something's not working.

The manual is useful to have to work out what the computer warning messages mean - eg what's the difference between an orange engine picture, a flashing orange engine picture and a red engine picture.

It's the seriousness of the engine problem. Red being you probably shouldn't be driving with whatever is wrong

I know that!! But can you drive with the orange engine not flashing? The manual tells you that stuff. That was my point.

I have a PDF 2011 Owners Manual on my laptop and my 512mb MINI thumb drive is now happily Mac formatted.

Nice touch. I decided to have Lyle do my headlight rings in Pepper White - I like how it made the headlights a little smaller and quieted the chrome...

Sweet ride, Albiecrazy. As you can tell, I'm a "quiet chrome" kinda guy myself. I called Lyle this afternoon to order black tail light bezels and gas cap. Eventually... the belt line. Your pics reminded me that I have to add an Apple sticker.

Thanks! You have excellent eyes, Melangell... It's hard for me to see that Mac sticker in my pics.

Nnnnooooo!! Don't do the Apple sticker, please, please, please...! I like Apple products but they have the most successful fanboy creation marketing of any other company I've seen. Don't pay them so you can advertise for them!

Love those black scuttles, by the way.

Sorry, Headlands, I've been a Mac-head since 1995 and have had an Apple on my car since back when they were rainbow colored. Much like my Mini, it's a statement.

Yeah, I really do dig the scuttles too. Thank you.

I hear you. I'm just hyper aware of marketing (due to working in advertising for 7 years in the past).

ok so i think i may have found something that i didnt know... i could be wrong but i was puzzled when i saw it... so i was sitting in my car with the windows up which are tinted... when i rolled them down i happened to glance at speedo/ radio area... then i noticed my gas gauge and all of the amber/ orange lit gauges get brighter! is there some sort of sensor that when its darker in your car it dims the light but when its brighter with sun shining on it it becomes brighter?? reminded me of the way the iphone dims and brightens in light and dark areas... anyone know about this?

Yeah, and if you are driving with the sun hitting the numbers, they'll change to black on gray, like a calculator.

Your mini comes with a sway bar... if you want to reduce under steer then a rear swaybar would be reccomended. Search is your friend
