I just went in the OL and it looks like they "batch updated" and mine has now moved from "On Order" to "Scheduled For Production."

Old news to one such as myself who calls "ASK MINI" daily the past week, but good to see it finally becoming reality all the way down to the Owner's Lounge.

By the way... the rep I spoke with today said that they have people that call 8-10 times A DAY. No one on here, I hope!!

No, honestly... I only call once. At lunch. That's it.

Aznqt, I'm thinking you're maybe one of the ones with ASK MINI on speed-dial on your desk, on your cell, maybe at home... on both phones, probably at your folk's place... maybe?

Well, MINI USA says I'm scheduled to be completed by 3/5. They knew nothing about logistics for me though...

In related news, my MA told me my options are now locked down, but if I wanted to get my JCW aero installed at the port, it would save me about $500. Needless to say, I'm jumping at the chance!

iPod install is $520, Driving lamps $750.

Anyone have any thoughts on rear bumper protection? I'm thinking not only would be a good spot to protect, the black might be a nice contrast at that point.

Mine kept changing so much I was afraid to post them. But, now that it is in production I guess that is the end of that.

I'll probably be changing out the 17" Crowns for the ASA AR2 with the anthracite accents and looking at some after-market exhausts and driving lamps.

I was told by ASK MINI that my car went into production on February 23rd. Over the past few days it has gone from in production > in the body shop > in the paint shop > in production > in the body shop > in the paint shop. It seems like there is a change every day. However, I feel lucky that my car gets double the treatment. Someone probably damamged the car and they had to start over.

"Oh crap! It's a Cooper, not a Cooper S!!"
"Can't we just put a new hood on it and call it even?"
"No, no... back to the start it goes."

<By the way, GO Lightning Blue! Not a lot of those seen on here yet. Laser seems to be the popular one, but I think that darker blue shade is a classic... and looks great with white contrast bits!>

So I spoke with my MA at lunch today

He says that he has had about 10 cars waiting to get transported overseas. He is hoping at this point the the batch my car is in is what they are waiting for (well, not JUST mine, of course), and then will ship them all together simultaneously. Mine is supposed to be done in the next 3-4 days now, it is code 150. He said the actual build takes 2-3 days total, once started.

I opted to get the Aero Kit installed at the port, save the money, and it won't take any more time than the install at the dealer. Sounds good to me.

Oxygen blue/White MC

I guess I'm also in week 10 since the OL just listed my car as "Scheduled for Production" on Feb. 27th. 1-866-ASKMINI says due for completion 3/5.

So, here are my specs:

Oxygen Blue/White MC (My MA told me that this is the first oxygen blue they've ordered )
Automatic
Cold weather package
All season tires
Front fog lights
Automatic dimming rearview mirror
Garage door opener
Sports seats/w leatherette
Chrome line interior

Can't wait

$750 for driving lamps is a great deal. Most dealers in my area are charging almost a grand for them. BTW, make sure the dealer install the switch that matches your creme white colorline. If not, it will look terrible.

I would get the rear bumper protection. I hope my MA would throw this in for me

Not sure if I'm in the right place. I ordered mine early last week. I have a production number and my dates are Sub Prod: 3/10 and Conf Prod: 3/11.

Does that make me week 10 or week 11?

Either way, it still says I'm "on order."

For the record, MCS, pepper white with black roof and stripes, redwood leather, piano black, all the packages, nav system, web spoke wheels. All the stuff to make me impatient.

Oh gosh, aznqtboy984, your Mini is built!!! That means mine has to be, too!
Remember, since you ordered the nav, too, I base my Mini's arrival on your Mini's arrival You are my link to the Mini World

By the way, I called the guy I ordered my car from today and he's "trying" to get the production number for me. I'm not sure what's so fricken' hard about getting a number for me.

Thanks, azngtboy984!!!

MiniMademoiselle, you really should try contacting someone to get this production number, there is no reason why you shouldn't have it in a couple of days of after the order is placed.

My MINI is enroute to the Southampton port via train (It will take approximately 1-3 days). After that, load it up on the ship!
